Making 2012 the best year yet

A week and a bit into the new year of 2012.... with much anticipation into what the new year would be bring.
Year 2012 - the end of the world? the start of a new dimension? to me, I declare it the year of the Lord's favour.
Excited to see what God will do in this year as it unfolds and really want to see His works tell their tale.
For the first time in a long while, i'm actually really motivated to set some resolutions (in broad) and see them fulfilled towards the end of the year.

Resolution #2012: DARE to make mistakes.

On a personal front, I guess the motivation comes with yet another year of transition and expectance of what the future holds. My TR comes to an end come mid-Dec. Work has just barely started considering I am finally in the right field clocking up work experience to go the distance in finance. As the year unfolds, i'm leaving it up to Him in faith.

Setting resolution 2012: DARE to make mistakes. That quote struck a chord within me and I have grasped it to my resolution for the year. I see mistakes as lessons learnt and just greater opportunities birthed. I am looking forward to the ride ahead and the experiences and memories to be created. It can only get better from here. I choose to believe, at least.

11 January.. the past 10 days have been eventful in themselves as I went into self-reflection mode and set out my goals I wanna achieve in the next 365 days as I stepped into Day 1. Day by day, as I deliberated and prayed, the more I am amazed at what God has done in my 2011 and i've been truly blessed. As such, I am only more than convinced that He will make my 2012 even greater. No matter what pans out, I will be thankful and accept in my stride. His love never fails and so does HIs promises. Seeing the outworking of His Holy Spirit, I am caught in awe of His wonder and grace. With a thankful heart I come, to the throne of His grace; asking once more for extra forgiveness and mercy in yet another year ahead. The Lord my God is my shepherd. My rock and refuge. Lover and Friend. My God and King.

Here is my prayer for this year to be a blessed and wonderful one to all my family and friends. Each and every one of you have left footprints on my heart and impacted me to greater/lesser of a degree to who I am today. I am indeed thankful. May 2012 be your best year yet too. And.. I propose the DARE. to make the mistakes. to pick yourself up when you fall. to learn lessons from every disappointment and to smile in the rainy days. :)

so true. so right. to be my prayer of all time.

life's been cruising along pretty fine at the moment and has been for the past couple of months. can't believe that we're almost into ending the 1st quarter of 2011 already. SO FAST. TOO FAST!

started my 2 months of the year wanting to set and path what I want to achieve this year. and here I am at the start of March and still not really having put much thought into the details of the big picture.

I should set some goals for myself. otherwise I would ease too comfortably into the current state of routine.

work's been pretty good just that at some point, I do feel it's not challenging me to carving a career from here.

Well I guess I started out on a footing that I have never thought of and definitely not somewhere I would have seen myself in for a start.

But like all that falls within the plans of His hands, they all work out for a purpose, a greater reason. I am thankful for it.

however the rest of 2011 unfolds.. im off on a great start :) very blessed. :))

the dilemma i thought was resolved has actually not..

although i guess it's gone from a point of uncertainty to more surety & clarity.

as much as it feels right, i'm fearful of the steps of faith needed or rather just the confrontation bits of it.

it's THE MOVE!

something i'm not too familiar with and have never had to do all my years of walking this christian walk.

Something I've avoided whenever I could.

I asked God is this the right choice. is this just purely my own wishful thinking and not His will afterall.

After much deliberation & prayer, i feel quite right, though not a 100%, in my spirit to go ahead and do it.

the numbness, the oblivion and the unwillingness to commit has motivated me to get it right all over again. Perhaps, i really should just do it.

Spoke with a couple of people just to sound the many thoughts running through my mind. it does seem to all point in the same direction.

I guess at the end of the day, as long as my faith does not waver and planting myself in some place where I can grow my roots in Him, that's ultimately most important.

Now, it's the talks I need to get through before the departure that I am trying to put off.

Lord, please give me the confidence and honesty in expressing my thoughts and feelings that in this season, it's just not the right place for me.

I thank them for the opportunity to grow and am thoroughly grateful for the sowing of seeds in my life and for just providing one of the best foundations of faith.

To be where I am today, I am very thankful.

Of which, I surrender ALL. To where this leads, i trust it with Faith...

this time last year was my last blog post...

just decided to pick this up again.. how frequent the entries may be.? i dunno. as & when i feel like blogging my thoughts i guess. and if they're gonna be all writings.?. i dont think so. :) we'll see..

and so. a year of going all silent in blogging world. what do i summarise 2010 to be like.one phrase - Embrace the challenges of transition.

a year of starting a new chapter. a year of exploring the unchartered waters with God. Delving into deep ends with no clue of how deep it really is. going on destination-less roadtrips meeting detours now and then. I guess that pretty much sums up how I went from being a student and into the scary working world where my character undergoes moulding & shaping. I'm glad to say amidst all, I am REALLY THANKFUL & GRATEFUL for God's faithfulness. He stood by His promises, carried me in the tough times and just open doors of opportunities that He amazed me with. Standing at the start of 2011, I'm glad for 2010 to be over yet know that the year needed to go by the way it did.

2011 has started off on an awesome note. Got back straight into routine after coming back from a 2 week hols in Sg+Beijing. A well-needed break to catch up with family and get some sanity check going. Being back in Melbourne and into work, I've undertaken a new perspective in dealing with work. Esp coming out from a whole year of starting work full-time. Knowing what needs to be done and understanding God's ultimate plan of putting me there this season, I am all onto it! Taking in the good and the bad, the happy and the unhappy, ALL in my stride. For I believe in Phil 4:13.... Nothing is impossible for those who believe

CNY round the corner...

CNY'10 is just round the corner...

the festivities have begun.. with chinatown having streets filled with chinese new year goodies and loud music all around. it's just that time of the year again!

it's my 2nd fav time of the year; next to christmas! pretty looking fwd to it actually.

anyways... this summer hols has been a fun-filled one for me.

apart from starting the summer in melb with roadtrips and all..

i came back home and had 2 holidays abroad to add in to the fun. both in the span of a week.

to vietnam and to KL.

KL was a blasT!!

Vietnam was an eyeopener to me somewhat. brought me back to 1960s Singapore. not that i lived thru the era but i kinda seen our history textbooks come to life. it was the fishing village sorta thing and the traffic in itself is def a talking point.

after spending 5 days there im sure i've gotten used to handling the traffic and crossing the roads with ease. Vietnamese food undoubtedly still taste better in Melbourne. i prefer indochine and hoa tran anytime. but... the french food in Viet was fantastic! not to say cheap too. it was more than 1/3 the price of what we would get in french restaurants. it was mainly a food trip in Vietnam due to the demographics of the grp.

we just spent a day trip down to the Mekong river. polluted as it may be. it was nice seeing floating markets again and seeing kids enjoy the simplicity of life just playing by the river and having a worry-free time. other than that. time was mostly spent visiting markets and appreciating the culture of the ppl and their way of life. of the hustle and bustle.. the ppl living in the city are of survival-driven. thanks to the vietnam war i guess. ppl are just out to battle for survival. amidst crazy traffic, ppl begging on the streets, ppl just selling their wares all around, there is order in the messiness. all this in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

i couldnt live w the pollution as it irritated my nose quite a bit. but i def dont mind paying a visit again. w a whole new different perspective taken on. maybe to Hanoi the next time round would be good.

right after getting back frm Vietnam, i headed for KL.. mainly to visit the ex-housemate.

the 3D2N we spent there was just a blast. with little sleep, we survived the first day just going around starting w eating Klang Bak Kut Teh for our very first meal. it was ShIok! then we headed to have Cendol. of which we got conned into eating big bowls of it. and then whilst shopping... i saw A&W! and so we settled to have Rootbeer Float. it was nolstagic.! thereafter, we rekindled our childhood playing games in the arcade.. partly to kill time before dinner as well since we were all full.

the journey to dinner after was just ardous. took us 4 hrs. driving thru the rain n shine to get to Telok Gong. all the way frm subang jaya to kepong to fetch WenQian and then to Telok Gong. that was the time we could have driven back to Sg. lol. BUT. the dinner more than made up for it. it was heavenly! after 3 plates of crabs, 2 plates of lalas, 2 coconut shells of prawns, 2 plates of beehoon and a plate of vegie and coconut juice to go around. i'm missing it already!

and so that sums up day 1.

day 2.. we went down to the city.. visited KLCC and the Petronas Twin Towers. was a good lookout. at 41st storey... it was as good as me looking out frm the balcony at home. view was pretty good. spent the whole day in the city before we headed for superb mamak for dinner. loved the roti hawaii and ribena special that they had. was super full.. raymond even had space for Ramly burger after. till nw i havent tasted one before. -.-

day 3 zoomed by pretty quick. had dimsum for brekkie at the kopitiam. something i've always wanted to try. tried out thai massage after.. and then to get last minute goodies before bidding farewell to justin and it was home sweet home..

and yes. achieved what we set out to doing there as well. the trip was planned to visit justin and to pray for his complete recovery. felt God's presence in his home and definitely keeping the faith and believing that he'll be well one day .. all to fall within His plan. Justin's been really thankful to what he is today already. but we're all def pressing on for full restoration. glad he's doing fine and still recovering.. it's been great catching up and spending time joking around and just enjoying each other's company. it's been an awesome albeit short trip! :)

lovin january and the start of feb so far.. as i head back to melb end feb. im looking fwd to a significant 2010! :) Woohooo! hanging on the ride..

after reading Compassion 2010 January edition of the news update..

the line that struck a chord within me was 'make 2010 count.'

and that shall be what i resolute to do.

2010 will be the year of transition for me. in this period of transit.. there's heaps for me to endure and to go through before birthing to something. i look forward to the birth of something new. something worth the wait. picture how labour pains and all are part of the giving birth to a baby process. in that same way. that is how changes happen. and being caught in transition process is definitely not the easiest and the most comfortable.

i'm finally done with school. and work is in this next phase. i'm holding on to the promises that things will unfold for the better.

making 2010 count... what am i gonna do?

i'll def want to pick up a new skill.. -guitar maybe? or craft - smth i quite enjoy doing? cake-making? cooking? baking? jewellery-making?

be more organised

be a mentor at some point if GOd calls.

just doing life with ppl most of all... i love sharing life's experiences and it just teaches me so much more than books have to offer.

as 2010 is unfolding and after having numerous chats with ppl and of course w my heavenly Father. ... i'm feeling... not the best at the moment.

i'm actually feeling kinda lost...

not knowing where to go or rather the easier option seems really tempting to me yet knowing my calling dont seem to be where the easy option is drives me crazy.

to stay in sg or to head back to melb and try it out myself?

to apply for TR or PR?

to just apply for jobs here in sg and see the response i get or just wait till i head back?

all these questions......

of which i am caught in a dilemma.. having no answers to.

i need to figure out where He has called me to. i need to figure out where the path leads to.

i need direction!

is this cause i've been too sheltered.? with everything provided for ?

i actually feel inadequate now that the vast and harsh job market is all that i'm facing. i'm stepping into the real world so to speak. i've finished my masters with ZilCh work exp. who's the kind soul who's willing to give me a chance to make a start? confidence i have to build up now..

heading into the unknown and with ppl who may not be the nicest beings in the society. that's how it works. of which i dislike but have to embrace. part and parcel of working life.

embracing jeremiah 29:11 close to heart. i need heart and mind revelation and the FAITH to not waver and hold on to that promise.

Get me out of the emotional merry-go-round. it's no longer the rollercoaster with the highs and lows. this is driving me in circles. i wanna get off!

1 more mth till i head back. will i suffer an emo breakdown then.? having to face everything on my own?

i'm responsible for the decisions i make. i sure do hope i make wise ones. ppl think too highly of me. i sure hope to live up to expectations.

What Christmas is all about...

it's CHRISTMAS time in 1 sleep! YAY!

my favourite season of the year. celebrating the true spirit of christmas :)
jEsus is the Reason for the Season.

this is my 2nd christmas spent in hot summer-ish weather here in Melbourne.
kinda telling myself this is it. no more of such anymore. considering i always liked cold wintry christmas or the weather in Singapore is still pretty much fine for the season too.
i really miss home at the moment. and really wanna be back. be it the pms mood i'm feeling or just really had it of the heat, i really want to be around family and friends whom i miss during christmas. i reminisce (a tad too much at times!) about the times when we had christmas dinner/hangouts and just going crazy with each other. i miss the girlies!!

anyhows. i'll make the best of my 2nd christmas here w my 'extended' family :)
they've been family to me here in Melbourne anyhows.
we're off to the rooftop cinema tonight ! spending a Christmas Eve in the city. i'm sure it's gonna be fun.
What are u doing this christmas eve?
Christmas day itself.! i'll probably head to church for a service in the morning and then over to Aunty Sharon's for a Chrissy bbq. :) yummy!
Boxing day.! the day we all look forward too and the whole reason of spending christmas in Melbourne. - SHOPPING.
with prices slashed like mad and the crowd is madness too. it's off to getting presents for chrissy exchange. yeahs. that's the way we decided on last year. saves us all $$ and gets presents all the same.

HOME SWEET HOME on the 30th! i cant wait alr. !

yups. that's the plan for me over the following week.

everything's been well since i officially graduated after seeing my results on 4Dec.
no more study. and i reckon this summer was gonna be a different one for me.
extended or not? we'll see what the job market brings.
i need clearer vision and goals for 2010. God, did u hear that? :)
but till then.. im definitely just trusting.
the past month has been filled with airport sendoffs, bringing the cousins and all around, going all touristy myself included and just spending time with ppl.

let's look forward to 2010! what's in stored for us? and what 's the new year resolution? as long as they are realistic, they'll be possible to achieve! :)

this song was the one that was playing in my head whilst i was studying for the last 2 exams over the past 2 days. exams stress was getting to me as i took my papers consecutively yesterday and the day before. as i was listening to it. the chorus just stuck in my mind. and how true it was. we were stuck in the exams together. and being the last lap of the race. it was worth fighting for. like how i live the christian walk. it's not how i started the journey with God, ultimately it's how i finish the race. and so loads of prayers and heaps of great company and destress methods as i posted on facebook during the exam prep season kept me going. :)

i really thank God i'm enjoying the last bit of studies as i finish up Uni life for a long time. it's been a great year.

through the high stress levels and times of low morale and just crazy assignments getting the better of me. i think i've grown quite abit. made me more clear of what i want to do in the vast area of finance.

as the year is drawing to a close too... i'm at the crossroads too.

to leave melb and head home to motherland or to stay on and experience life working and living on my own with the family back home. well. to be honest. much as im quite led to the latter. im definitely sitting on the fence for this one. i do miss the family! and after being abroad for almost 3.5 years now. although i know it's gonna be different and all working back home as i got used to life in melbourne. i do wish at some point to definitely make sg home again. so for now. it's a hard decision. waiting to see where God leads ultimately. where i'm led to be in the next couple of years. what plans of life He's gonna yet unfold :)

anyways. for now. i'm still in the midst of exams. i've 1 more paper to go. just gonna enjoy the rest of this and am pretty excited for what holidays will bring. :) hope we go ahead with the ideas. i wanna go roadtripping again!! been a while since i did it. the cousins are coming over too :) so that's good. couzzie time!

till then. i really thank God for a really blessed and awesome year. it's been great making new friends, developing stronger friendships with present ones and just feeling at home with the 'family' :) thank God for just being God. :) and to everyone. have a blast for the rest of the year. 2009 is an awesome part of the memories etched.

i've yet again been challenged by what i've heard and read over the past week.
Mark Sayers at lifegroup dinner challenged and brought about a wakeup call to who God is.
what 'the Sacred' means to each and every one of us.
Jesus is not meant to be our idol of worship. neither the cross of which we have symbolised so broadly to base our faith upon.
let's live out that relationship and the magnificence of Him.
letting Him be God and removing ourselves from the pedestal.
Christians have been on it for far too long. God's meant to take that place and work His way.
and yet the society and culture have made us box God up to the circumstances and ways he's previously come thru by and just limited by our thinking to what He could do.
i was really woken up to going back to when this thing all started.
to go back to that sacred place where i was WOW-ed by Him. amazed in His magnificence and just in awe of His wonder and grace.
and of it all... His love hung on the cross.
i want that whole new encounter all over again. chucking spiritual numbness to the far end of my mind and just experiencing God like i did when i first met Him.

the weeks have been passing well.
juggling between sch work and socials.. cutting back on sleep quite a bit.
been trying to work on my walk w Him as well. thus the above post.
not that i've been backsliding all the while and trying to keep up. but wanting to find new avenues and drawing closer to God as i should be.
it's been a good journey and God shown His faithfulness thru it nonetheless.
missing home now and then.
wondering how the folks are doing. caught up w mum and dad over the phone recently after quite a long while.
glad God's been taking care of them heaps.
looking forward to part of the extended family coming over next month too
hang out w the cousins! :)

till then .. it's less than a month to exams.
start of 1 month october madness.. =)

mid-sem

im halfway through my final semester and it's been one of the best so far.
really enjoying my final year of study and it's been a good balance of fun and work.
amidst all the assignments and the pile of revision to be done, i've been hanging out w the peeps wayy often.
been to winter camps, conferences and all. it's been an eventful 9 mths.
now it's the mode of assignment madness again.
that time of the year, that time of the semester.
but all's under control, i hope at least.
so it's just a couple more months to go and im really done.
no more dragging, no more relying on the folks for more dependence.
it's the working world and what nots.
in the meantime, i really need to seek God on where He wants me to be.
been trying to put a finger to where i am supposed to head. and where my calling is in this lifetime.
things have been made clearer somehow somewhat, i thank God for that.
i just need a more distinct path and greater assurance i reckon.
in all things, i thank God for why they happened anyhows.

on another note.. i miss the family.
bro's entered the army today and he's going to be away frm home for at least a couple of weeks or more. mum n dad are gonna miss him so much. i miss him too!
the 2 of us finally growing up and leaving home. be it really temporal and still at home or being so far away, mum and dad are starting to feel it.
i really sometimes wish i could be home to be in that comfort zone; but i guess it's not so instantly possibly anymore.
i miss the times of family reunions and just get-togethers.
it's the time of the month and emo-ness is getting to me.
pardon it.
anyhows. i thank God for my family always. for just being who they are and for bringing me up to this time.
it's been a good 22 years and more to come :)
love them heaps!

till then.. doing life in australia pretty much alone w/o the family, i do praise God for who He is and being so constantly by my side.
He's the only reason i'm what and where i am today.
loving life as it is and just taking all things in my stride. i learnt. from the hardest to the easiest of times. :)

caulfield winter camp @ Anglesea

the past weekend was spent at Sokil in Anglesea where Caulfield had our very own winter camp :)
was a great timeout from the busy-ness of life and of school and just taking time to be set apart for God and for fellowship with the peeps.
it was really a great refreshing time for me and seeing how God moved thru the sessions and just in our lives in general. it was purely an awesome retreat.
so anyways. the group of us drove all the way up and the journey there w mavis was a faith-testing one for us.
for some reason, our hps had no reception, GPS died on us by not having the place and the maps dont have breakfast creek rd on it. so all we really had was to go by faith. managed to arrive in Anglesea and then frm there figuring out how we could get to campsite by sneakily finding the map at the chemist.
so yeahs. that was our adventure on the journey there.
being on committee, we had more things to get settled and all. but nonetheless, everything unfolded well as we went about w games and sessions and all.
i guess it was really good bonding since we were relatively small in number.
everyone mingled well, took away loads from the messages at sessions and just how God just worked in each of our hearts at camp. totally heartwarming.
amidst all the shit (literally) - kangaroo poo, the dirtiness and sabos - just crazy fun in general, we all had a good time of just relaxing and taking our minds away work and assignments and all.
i would say the camp ended on a really high note.
having hotpot, campfire and just games for 3D2N was not enough, we had a 1N extension at jojo and mich's.
had hotpot once again aft going away frm Sokil due to the great amt of food leftover frm hotpot the night before.
loved how camp went and how successful it was as God did His work.
being on a postcamp high, everyone was reminiscing abt the great times spent and the jokes cracked. we now welcome 'Mary' into our convos. all thanks to XS. -__-

i guess personally God did great works in and thru me.
i was really encouraged to continues to take up my cross and follow Him.
knowing how He provides and paves the way for me. Knowing he will carry me on the rough roads.
knowing how He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. knowing He has the best plans for me.
knowing how God loves His children and how he will continue to reveal Himself as we seek Him. and basically knowing that it is THAT simple. to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, mind, soul and spirit and to love our neighbours like ourselves. we've complicated matters way too much.
i'm encouraged to walk on this journey of faith with a greater spring to my step, believing in Jer.29:11 that all things work for the good of those who love Him. :)
He cares, He provides and He loves above all !

chocolate rush festival

into the 3rd week of school..
one week to the lead up of winter camp...
all's summed into one word. BUSY.
pretty much to the max of having too much fun.
i thank God for that. amidst all the onslaught of assignments that are coming my way.
really am looking forward to camp actually.
psyched for what God is going to be doing in camp and the strengthening of bonds and friendships over camp. :)

an update of what's been happening over the past few weeks.
highlights include Beautiful Women conference hosted by Planetshakers Church.
was AWESOME. definitely life-changing for me.
came away from conference more than inspired but more on track to where my destiny lies w God.
this weekend was spent at the Chocolate Rush Festival and having laser tag and hotpot w the peeps.
was really great time spent.!

a new semester...

it's the start of sem2 ..
im actually starting off this semester on a high.. which is good.
considering i actually have two 9am lectures this semester. i've woken up for both even whilst this is week 1.
hopefully i keep up to them and im off to make this sem all worth it.
it's gonna be my last for a long long long long time.
the past sem went by quick.
got through it w average grades. really wanting to do better this time round.
having been charged up over the hols and had a smashing one at it.
im ready to take on sem 2!
thank God for all He's done over the past sem.
more of Him now. :)

i had heaps of fun during the hols. starting it off on a great start at Clayton's winter camp off at Mt morton.
had great bonding session w the peeps and just really awesome worship n messages.
then back to Sg. for daddy's bday and hanging out w the girlies and the rest of them
i would say it's just been eventful all the way right up to the start of sch ytd.
flew back in to melb on thurs.
off to kelsey's and xtine's 20th on friday + soccer in the morning.
saturday was harry potter's xtine, D and Jem.
sunday.. church and westfield shopping :) got myself a pullover n a shirt frm Tommy. yay. thankfully the sales are still here and there.
i had fun over the weekend !

gonna be busy the upcoming weeks.
all in prep of our winter camp and o-week as well.
but im sure it's fun.
God, rain down on us and just recharge our spirits to burn brighter for u this sem.

the 22nd bday surprise

turned 22 about 2 weeks ago.
was a great and memorable one i would say.
firstly was cuz bestie Hui was celebrating it with me. :)
she came all the way from Sg for that. hahaha. and yes to tour melb of course.
but yes. we had a great time during her 10 days here amidst the crazy business of assignments going over the top and bogging me down.
it was good girlie time spent.

so anyways. the 22nd bday surprise was done by the OCF peeps who came over to my place early in the morning and surprised me w a cake and the mini treasure hunt for my presents from them. i was touched and its really greatly appreciated :)
love them heaps.!
then to lunch in the city.
it was basically a whole day affair.
had dinner w the 'family' at night over hotpot then back to the city for drinks at chi lounge.
pretty nice place.
i had a great 22nd. :)

the 10 days w hui here and going to places with her was good.
i felt quite bad initially cuz of my assignments i had to be in sch till late.
but thank God for great frens who brought her around for me.
glad she managed to tour melb pretty extensively.
but all in all it was good catchup for us :)
love her heaps!

so yes. assignments are still on. exams are round the corner. i need the strength to go through all of it.
Praise God for the sustenance and love most importantly.!

easter camp at Portsea

im back from Easter Camp at Portsea.!

one word to describe it all: AWESOME.
totally.

i came away from the camp just in awe of God's hand working in the hearts of His people.
vision of the camp being 180 degrees. i reckon to an extent all of us have experienced degrees to different extent of life transformations.
it was totally one of the best 4 days spent.
i love sorrento and portsea now..
loved the super nice choc croissant cake.. love the campsite. love the beach. love the camp in all.
it was just great to be there.

on another note. the camp has actually been a really challenging one for me personally.
leading DG for the first time. i was jittery at some point. and problems kinda cropped up here n there.
but at the end of the day. seeds are being sown. the girls were alright and friendly.
i had quite a good time getting to know new ppl and just hearing their views on God and christianity in general.
i was challenged to step out in faith and just to be bold in contending for my faith.
this has been an underlying message frm God to me over the past couple of weeks.
had Ps. Brendan prophesy that over me too after i got that word from Ps. Simone the week before.
so really. i've got something to work on this yr.
it's been really stretching me as a person and just fulfilling my potential in God.
it's smth really exciting for me too. stepping into this whole new chapter and enjoying the journey. i am ready to take it up.
rising up into a new level w God. exciting stuff!

anyways. camp was just really fun and i had a great time of bonding w the Caulfield peeps as well.
they've been a great bunch to be with. as usual. =)
since then.. friendships have deepened im sure.
so all in all. camp was like a place where frienships were made. God's presence was felt. and we all came away with memories to be kept :)

tonight i was at Kelly's for her hsewarming party after the GSB class.
had a pretty good night. :) GSB unit was fun and really interesting.
dinner was great.

till then... easter break is over for me. didnt even start to be honest.
back to more work and slogging thruout the sem.!

I'm totally looking forward to Easter Camp at Portsea this weekend!

this week was pure madness.
H bld became my 2nd home literally.
staying on till the wee hours of the morning doing crazy spreadsheets and staring at my computer screen till i'm almost seeing stars.
and the assignment is due thurs.
finally all's almost done as im updating my blog.
just gonna fine tune a lil here n there tmr morning and that's it.
it's my 1st assignment due for the semester. not sure of the requirements of masters and all.
def praying all will turn out fine.

for now... i really want to recharge and refresh myself at easter camp!
from then on.. its a mad rush all the way till end of semester alr. i dont get my easter break :(
anyhows.. im having fun amidst all of this.
church conference was AWESOME!
loved it heaps!

the weekend that passed was great :)

i had a fun-filled one at it.
on saturday. i was hanging out w the group in the morning. supposedly to be studying while the guys were gonna play soccer.
but obviously it didnt happen. by the time Nat and i got down to Caulfield. they were done w soccer. we had lunch in the end. then adjourned to Beatrice's to just hang out over cake and sweets.
Bea and i then couldnt take the heat and off to Chadstone we went. i needed to get prezzies for the bday girl too.
ended up.. she n i went shopping in Myers too. so much for just gg to get presents.
so anyways. at night i was over at Gladys' celebrating her 22nd w her Melb Uni frds.
was good catching up w Jessie too.
off to meet the rest of them for supper at DessertHouse later on too.
then jojo had to be around the city taking pictures of flowers. so Darrell drove her around in my car. we were like going arnd 24-hr florists looking for pictures for her assignment.

Sunday!
was the highlight of the weekend. i witnessed the baptisms of my 2 lovely sisters-in-Christ.
Jojo n Mavis decided to take that step of faith and commit a lifetime unto God.
Awesome!!! i love baptisms.
to me. they are always a moment of joyous transformations taking place as they commit a lifetime to God; serving Him all the days of their lives and just loving God.
was really touching as they gave their testimonies. and was a really joyous and emotional affair. :)
Later on, i had a good time at church too.
was really good as we ended the Controversy Series at church with 'Let's talk about Sex'
seeing God's perspective on this issue which society has changed and given a whole new light(a bad way) on this act which was meant to be a divine and sacred union which happens between a couple in a marriage context.
As questions were thrown around in Q&A and as Ps Corey & Simone answered them. i felt the whole event was very well-done.
it may seem to be a taboo topic to many in the church. but i feel that we have to hear what the bible speaks of it.
its nothing dirty. nothing wrong if carried out in the appropriate manner as God intended. :)

it will be good when Ps. Corey comes to speak at 'Sex it up' week at Uni 2 weeks after Easter. looking fwd to the response!

till then.! assignments are picking up and im getting busier w schwork amidst all the other things.
but its been good. im kinda enjoying it. just need to get on top of things more and make sure i dont fall behind.

i got my first car!!! :)
a burgundy red 1990 nissan pulsar..
its been great having it around. i feel more MOBILE.
no longer do i have to wait for the bus late at night and getting around is so much more convenient.
Thank God for this great deal! :)
i just collected it ytd at Carcity. have some stuff to get settled though. its an old car. thus the problems that come w it as well.
nonetheless. it been good.

school has been pretty alrights.
got all my grpmates settled. finding these 2 weeks of school a recap on the stuff i've learnt in undergrad and its actually great. i get a slow start.
before all the assignments start piling up in May.
and hui's coming then too!. im psyched to catch up w the bestie here.
all's going really well now i thank GOd.
OCF's seeing good increase. praise God!
orientation went well. Welcome night was a success :)

its back to melb again..
start of a new school year for me.
i just had my enrolment done in Uni today.
went through all the procedures and all.
tt's settled. got all my units and timetable sorted out.
looking at it.. ive only got tutorial for 1 unit while 2 of them are just lectures for 3 hrs (i dunno how am i gonna survive that) and 1 professional advancement course which doesnt have any contact hrs so far.
hope this semester will go thru well..
im waiting to see how the assessment and all will be like.
thank God i've got ppl doing it with me.
at least then i've got someone to share the stress with.
much as school life is already gonna be very different without Des n Justin, i thank God for putting ppl around me to spur each other on.
walking into campus today felt different. hit me w a pang of nolstagia.
but well.. im coping with being back here pretty alrights.
starting to adapt back quite smoothly.
looking fwd to the new sem beginning. =)

Bushfire appeal

the bushfire situation in Melb is devastating.
as the death toll continues to rise and as firemen work tirelessly to put out the fires.
all we can do to help is as churches are donating and ppl are giving out their clothes and other essentials to help the homeless and affected at this point in time is to keep praying for the situation to make a turn for the better and helping in any way we can.
it was a pity i wasnt in melb to help the CommunityImpact team at church to sort out and package the essential items to be sent by Chaplaincy Australia.
but its good Activate is doing its part in aiding the affected at this time.
may God's glory shine thru this whole event.
I really pray that the situation would only get better and may God's comfort be upon the homeless and the families of the victims.

down under has been topsy turvy ever since the heat wave broke out during summer.
and now this has to happen.
its saddening and annoying to know that some of the bushfires are believed to be set off by arsonists.
these ppl are really terrible. hope the police crackdown will deter further such acts from happening.

digressing.... its only few more days left in SG for me.
im leaving this v-day back to aussieland.
i guess i can only say that as the day draws nearer, im having mixed feelings going back and really will miss ppl here heaps.
its different now that i noe its kinda starting all over again. since 1 chap has closed and another is starting..
the ppl that started off my degree with me in Melb and whom ive become pretty attached to.. half have left and gone on a different journey..
anyhows..i thank God for all that's gonna be happening and for the OCF peeps who will be doing my masters with me.
im sure the coming year will be exciting and challenging as it is.
definitely the times of doing my degree are greatly missed. but all i wanna do is look fwd to what 2009 has to offer!
coming home this summer hols have made me reflect and realise quite a lot of things. and really made me bond much better with my family n friends.
through all the reunions and heart-to-heart talks.
relationships strengthened and to last a lifetime.. i thank God for them!
thus.. half of me wants to go back and get productive.. instead of slacking so much in SG. half of me wants to be here where home is.
for all of God's providence on my family.. i really thank Him that we do not have be fretting so much amidst this recession. :)

miracles still do happen!

Church service today was F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C !!!
Jesus is alive till today. tt's for sure :)
and miracles still do happen till this day.
He is the same yesterday, today and forever. :) God is good, all the time!
the sermon was centred upon the Father's love. and its been so reflective for me.
service starting with worship already got me embracing God's wonderful presence.
then on to the great sermon where i am so inspired by Chad Dateman(?) about all he and his wife are doing in Los Angeles.
they have been great ministers of God's word and just going around with the healing mantel.
Pastor Chad's encounter with Benny Hinn and with Benny Hinn passing on his mantel upon this young man. gosh. im in awe. God is working great things in his sphere of influence.
much as he is doing so much. Chad has inspired the congregation to take ownership of who we have influence over.
God will then open the hearts of the lost once we take on tt ownership. how true is that
so i was really loving the sermon and the last bit was the best.
when we all started praying for healing.
Ps Chad called the deaf in the congregation up on stage and we as a church body began praying for these ppl.
and aft a short prayer. the girl on stage could hear what he was saying. she had an encounter with God and was just hearing wayy better than she could before.
with tears of joy, she was a great testimony to God's goodness.
awesome stuff!
healing is awesome.
much as some may be born blind/deaf/lame. there are reasons to it i believe.
and y are some who have been prayed for and yet nothing happens. im sure God has a greater plan where His glory will shine through from that person's life.
there's a reason for everything.
im just called to carry out the purpose He's set me out to do. and He will take care of the rest.
living life with God at the captain. :)
nothing beats it.

festive season

still in the midst of CNY...
and that just equates to more festive eating which is putting added stress on my tummy.
trying to lose weight but yet at the same time going round visiting and having family gatherings.
the festive season is not helping at all.
this yr's CNY went by with me feeling pretty mundane about it.
no hype. no excitement. no special feelings.
i wasnt even in the festive mood of celebration.
interestingly. i loved the fact that it was a good time for family reunions and gatherings where relationships are strengthened and all of us are just taking the time to spend time together as we prepare for yet another busy year ahead.
this once-in-a-year affair brings ppl together for catchups and updates on the year gone by.
its all good. ive met up with the relatives and cousins.
more gatherings to come this weekend. it being the last weekend of the CNY season.
been 'gambling' quite a bit. rounds of mahjong and card games as our entertainment.
wasnt a good one for me though. i've been on a losing streak except for a one off win at the mahjong table w the folks.
well.. its all in the name of fun. im cool w it.

1 more week till its back to melb for me.
not looking forward to the crazy hot summer weather awaiting me.
the heat is terrible and has been at its worst the past week.
doesnt sound good that Connex had to stop train services for 2 days. imagine the kind of disruptions and inconvenience it has caused. its madness.
to hear that ppl take 3 hrs to get home from City to Caulfield when the usual trip takes a mere 30 mins was insane.
i couldnt imagine spending my summer hols like that.
i pray that the situation will get better as i reach melb next sunday.
hope the heat wave is gone and summer aint that bad anymore.

this 2 weeks ive been meeting up friends and just spending time with family.
the meetups have been great and i really thank God for these wonderful friendships :)

this thurs will be interesting.. meeting up frds whom i havent caught up w since sec sch.
that's like 6 yrs ago to actually think about it. we've kinda lost contact in between.
other than getting updates from networking sites like the good ol' friendster of the ever addictive facebook.
oh wells. im kinda looking fwd to see how much we've all changed over these years.
ytd hui n i had dinner w fel&mark. was a good dinner meetup at fish&co.
its funny how we've always got news abt each other thru fel but yet never really hung out.
its been 4 years since. and its like the first dinner we had. Lol.
but it was all good. no awkward silences nothing weird.
looking fwd to more meetups, yup fel?

so the aunt left this morning. mum n i saw her off at the airport.
gonna miss her. wont be seeing her till next yr i reckon. =(
spending time w her over the past couple of weeks has been good.
having her as my roommate, going for the tree top walk tgt and just going out has been a great bonding session for me.
i love the family. amidst all the petty arguments; countless miscommunication and all the debates.
after a night's sleep.. all is well. its family afterall. we dont get to choose.

CNY's like tmr..
and yet im not even feeling the mood of it.
it just feels like its just another day and a pretty long weekend for all who are working.
i didnt even get new clothes this year. ha.
anyways. im looking forward to meeting the cousins n relatives still.
reunion dinners have started last week for me.
ytd just had it frm mum's side.
the usual steamboat.
this yr's a lil different.
we're having reunion dinner as a family of just the 5 of us (including aunty) at home tonight.
it just is actually another family dinner since we usually have dinner tgt anyways.

btw.i really had fun on friday.
met the 2.2 peeps up for dinner at Sushi Tei in paragon. :)
we were just reminiscing and its been 9 years since the friendships were made.. and we're still feeling the same camaraderie. awesome! we're planning a major reunion next yr.
celebrating 10 years of friendship. and of course including everyone we can still manage to contact other than our usual clique.
we dont meet very often esp since im in aust.
and the girls always joke that they dont see the guys till i come back for holidays.
but it still feels familiar :)
we went to catch Red Cliff 2 aft dinner and surprisingly the movie's pretty good.

i caught about 4 hrs of sleep and i had to be at the IDP pre-dep briefing at Orchard Hotel.
the briefing was pretty good in the sense that we've managed to get a quite a no. on the list for OCF Caulfield :)
was good meeting up the group again.

church today was great tooo!

Dempsey's like my supper hangout place.
been going there quite a bit.
but i would say i really like the atmosphere there.
very lovey dovey for couples yet very good chillout for frens too. :)
so i finally managed to meet up the SA peeps for supper on friday night.
we met up at Holland V where some of them had dinner before we drove to Dempsey for B&J's ice cream :)
yummy!
we shared a 'merlionster' and it was good having the band there that night.
the lead singer had a powerful voice. she sang out many dedications as well as bday requests.
the guitarist did a good job at singing 3 doors down too :)
had a good catchup n photo frenzy session too.

next day was Careers@Singapore fair in Marriott Hotel.
Hui and i went to check out the job prospects and basically just suss out options.
we attended one of the forums and decided to skip the rest. was pretty boring considering the topics touched on were very superficial and nothing much new to be known.
we went shopping instead at far east :)
i had Reunion dinner w Dad's side later on in the evening.
we then adjourned to check out the CNY flowers at Sunset way.
business is pretty bad this yr. definitely affected by the recession.
anyhows. uncle adrian got some for his family while mum&dad just KIV-ed some.

Sunday was the usual.
church. lunch. home for most parts of the day.

today.
i finally got down to get my camera traded in.
did some shopping at Vivo. before meeting up w Raymond to go to the night safari.
met Justin n his fren there. the night safari's a good experience. but i would say it stayed pretty much the same as i went when it very first opened.
haha. not much changes other than surrounding eateries and atmosphere. :)

all in all. the weekend's been pretty good.
im up for a busy week. tmr's spring cleaning at grandparents' new place so they can move in before CNY :)

medical went alright the other day.

everyone back from melbourne are having free afternoons and super packed night life. ha
most of us are either online or slacking in the day. judging from the MSN statuses and just random calls to go out tgt.
and tt's y Jan Vince and i met up one afternoon when we were all bumming arnd to go catch 'Yes-man' together.
thumbs up for the movie by me :)
i always liked Jim Carrey's movies. something out from the usual and yet the storyline was pretty deep amidst the jokes and funny antics by him.
went for coffee after the movie at DOME.

next day i met Jan to go shopping at Substance for shoes initially.
but sadly. they dont stock my size. =(
anyhows. we just went window shopping instead.
at least by the end of the day. i got my pair of CNY heels at a steal.
well worth it. it was just 9 bucks at C&K outlet store in Anchorpoint.
seriously i can go shoe crazy there.

i met up Charity's family and lunched at Marina Sq.
was a nice japanese lunch and we then decided to go for a round of Bowling too.
lol. it was really fun.
hung arnd and i then had to be back for dinner.
later was supper w Des n Raymond.
back at M-Sq .. Xin Wang Cha Chan Teng
had a good catchup considering i havent seen raymond since i got back.
and got updates on Des' trip to NY and LA. oh man.. he's tempted me so much to go NY for crazyy outlet shopping.
i wanna go NY nowwwww.!

i totally enjoyed the ride in Des' new baby :)
Porsche GT3 in my fav colour white.
took it for a spin....
we sent raymond home and was in a part of Spore that we both didnt frequent often.
had to then made our way back to my place.
upon reaching home. we decided to circle Cornwall rd a bit where Des used to live. right opposite my place.went down the ulu and pretty creepy road that led to his house.
i never dared walk in alone. driving alone in there must have alr took much guts.
it was this area of nice colonial houses that are kept for conservation and rented out by the govt.
huge houses with nice surroundings in the day actually. very cut off the usual style of houses in Sg.
he used to live so close by. we actually used to be neighbours when we were much younger. LOL. then much as i was nearby home. we detoured to Portsdown to check out One Rochester too.
went to check out the restaurants and bars there.
i find it to be a pretty nice chillout place. but i reckon Dempsay still sits better w me.
OneRochester is good for chillouts but yet its more for the office crowd i reckon. gave me a more atas feel and not as casual as Dempsay.
and so by the time we got to my place it was alr abt 2.30am.
looking fwd to catching up with the whole crew again when Justin's here or when Darrell's back.
gonna miss all heaps when im back in Melb. =X

i thank God for wonderful times like this etched as great memories. Always.

reminiscence

i had my haircut ytd in town.
gosh .. it took the longest time ever and pretty much the whole of my saturday afternoon.
i reached there at 12pm and was only done with everything (waiting for mum, etc.) at 4.30pm.
i had my lunch then and just took a walk arnd town before heading to meet the girls.
met Hui at JP.
the place is so different now after the renovations but its still packed w as much people.
super crowded and now CNY is round the corner too.
but i quite like the new JP. nicer restaurants and shops worth checking out.
i had a good chat w the bestie at Bakerzin before meeting Tabitha at NewYorkNewYork.
was a great meetup w tabi.
i always loved it. it never felt like i've been away for a year and we still hold that special bond.
coming back and meeting up.. it just feels like i havent been away at all :)
i always loved tt when meeting up old friends.
so aft dinner and drinks, we just went to hang out at the nearby park.
reminiscing abt being in NewTown, being in e2/2, having the great bunch of classmates and just the awesome memories shared :)
got home only at abt 2am.

the night before i wasnt home any earlier too.
was out w the OCF peeps.
we had dinner at Imperial Treasure which burnt a hole in most of our pockets.
food was great though.
aft tt we went for drinks at No. 5 on Emerald Hill.
nice place. had quite a bit of peanut throwing too.
liked their martinis and food actually :)
went to catch a late night movie after too.
'Milk' was some movie talking abt Sean Penn who made it to be the 1st homosexual minister and sparked the gay movement.
pretty good portrayal done in the movie and i would say the storyline was pretty good.
got home n i was pretty much gone once i hit the bed. lol

im reeally enjoying the hols back home.
meeting up frens have been the bulk of my dinner times and supper outings.
but its been all good. :)

gonna go get my medical done tmr morning.

Batam Spa Villa

Happy 22nd girlie!! :)

we celebrated fel's 22nd in Batam this year.
its becoming a yearly affair for us girlies to make short getaways.
it was great fun spending the day at the resort having jacuzzi spa and having foot reflexology as well as the massage.
awesome. felt superbly relaxed after that.
nua-ed the afternoon away enjoying the sea breeze and just tuning in to the slower paced of life and just the simplicity of theirs.
made fel go AWWwww.. with our bday surprise for her. haha. glad she liked it =P
took loads of pictures too.
i really enjoyed my day. :)

im really hoping my cam didnt die on me.
the waterbottle in my bag leaked and now the camera doesnt wanna get switched on. =(
im praying hard it will work tmr. the photos are in there.. arghhh..

much as the financial crisis is a dampener to starting the new year afresh, i believe things will make a turn for the better soon.

Things wont keep spiralling downwards with no end. Things will change and let's all just hope for the better.

Looking back at 2008, i thank God for the good, the bad and everything in between. :)
they have shaped me in one way or another to becoming who i am today.
For all of it, i thank my dear heavenly father for all of it; the opportunity to experience and toughen myself for greater challenges ahead.

in this year of 2008, my major achievement would be obtaining my Bachelor of Business degree most importantly. a significant milestone in my life reached. now on to something more =P
the year has definitely breezed past really quick.
knowing its the final year most of us will be in Uni studying together and going thru crazy assignment times together; i was definitely treasuring every moment of it.
semesters passed by fast. but i really enjoyed all of the late nights with the clique and the many supper and chill out sessions we had.
the friendship with the group is deeply treasured. i really miss all of the times already.
we have started college together and as much as all of us were new to Melbourne then. we have all grown and journeyed on together and as the friendship grew stronger and more established as well thru the 2.5 years. now these friendships are for keeps. missing each and every one of u.
and now as we have come to the end of Uni life, most of us have gone on to start working life and taking on different routes basically. we all have moved on to a different chapter and i just wish one and all the very best.
many of u have gone back home for good. i dont know when i will get to meet all of u again but i definitely miss u all =(

the Arnott and Wellington gang will not be the same next year without Justin around. =(
knowing the dynamics of the group has changed, i really thank God for all the wonderful times shared.
and i am really thankful for this great support network whom i call on every so frequently. these people whom i call family in Aussieland.
they've been my pillar and are all really loved by me :)
Wishing time stood still....

2008 was also when i celebrated my 21st w the family n relatives n friends in Melb.
Thanks to my wonderful family who flew down just for it :)
i had a fantastic time. very memorable n unforgettable.

2008 saw me at Hillsong Conference for the 2nd time.
was a awesome conference for me as i was challenged by God to take on greater stuff and know that i can do more with Him on my side.
OCF next yr will see me putting all of which im equipped with to good use.
i pray for more ppl to come to know Christ who is the one n only saviour to this world as the ministry takes flight.

as much as i loved 2008, im looking forward to 2009.!
it's gonna be even better and im gonna scale to reach even greater heights.
cant wait to see God unveil more of it beautiful plans and loving Him more :)

I've graduated with my Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance)!

yay!!
the day has finally arrived.!
this day i've been waiting for for the past 2.5 years.
this day my parents have been awaiting in a long time.
this day i feel euphoric.
this day i end an awesome chapter of my study life.
this day i thank God for.

on the 18th of dec, i finally ended my undergraduate Uni life w a bang.
thank God for all the wonderful and crazy times in Monash.
mugging it all out w the great friends whom i call on all the time.
through all the assignments, late nights,skype till 4am before exams and everything in between...
those have now become great memories for keeps.
i really treasure these times we shared starting on together in Monash College 2.5 yrs ago and now we are all on separate journeys in life.
some of u have already decided to head back for good and explore the working world.
i will definitely miss u guys heaps!
i already know that things will be a lot different next yr.
anyways. as it is in life. change is the only constant.
all i can do is embrace it.
memories of these friendships to be kept for a lifetime. :)

i'm wishing one and all the best in all that lies ahead.
as much as i've another year of Masters to complete.
its a yr where i have to think about what next as well.
Where God leads... i pray He open doors he wanna open and position me to fulfilling His call upon my life.
its a year of exploring and jouneying on w God at the helm.
i really pray that God will continue to unveil more of His plans for us and His blessings to pour down upon one and all.
what the future holds may be uncertain but i know that faith conquers it.
God is faithful!

the parents, aunt and bro were here for the past 2 weeks.
brought them to Ballarat, Philip Island, went DFO Cheltenham for shopping, Mt Dandenong and the little things in between.
enjoyed the roadtrips pretty much myself cuz its my 1st time to ballarat and to see the penguin parade in Philip island.
the smallest penguins in the world found in Philip Island are sooo cute.
really interesting watching them.
anyways. the day was really good on saturday too. awesome skylines and just i was in awe of God's wonderful creation. :)
now that the everyone's back in SG, i get a little time off for myself and get some of the stuff i wanna get done before heading home.
also... CHRISTMAS is in 2 days!!!

today was spent running errands before the family arrive tmr. :)
was alrights just that the weather was a dampener.
been raining non-stop. felt all gloomy and wanted to stay in actually.
so anyways. i got all the stuff done at least.

tmr gonna be going to n fro the airport like twice. been to the airport so frequently this hols.
its my 2nd home.

ytd i attended the graduation ceremony of jan, hilda, tommy, angel and raymond.
all graduated alr. :)
after 2.5 years... finally!
didnt go in for the actual handing of certs.
but took photos w them before and after the ceremony.
was nice.. next week's my turn!
looking fwd yet nervous at the same time. :)
anyways. its all gonna be awesome!

Just got back from Convy'08 on Saturday night..
Convention was great i would say. Been reflecting quite a bit on myself and my walk with God.
Hanging out with the peeps for a full 6 days have been a great deal of fun and heaps and heaps of laughter.. they are a great bunch of friends and very good entertainment.
meeting new people and getting to see some familiar faces and now getting to know them better was good too.
so anyways. the group of us Convy peeps stayed over at Jojo's the night before our flight.
having not slept the night before and had to stay up the whole time as Convy starts the day we arrive, we were all feeling high. cracking lame jokes and struggling to keep awake the whole time.
but i really thank God for the travel buddies that these bunch of OCF Caulfield ppl make.
they are a damn good bunch to travel with.
haha. in terms of non-stop entertainment. :)
imagine we were the most happening bunch of peeps in Convy. Go Victoria!
so anyways. Convy started and i've gotten challenged quite a bit by the messages preached and the workshops.
I guess im really challenged to surrender all to God; trusting His best plans for my life.
There's no point holding on to things that are temporal in this world. things will fail me and situations will overwhelm me at times.
but God will be the only constant source of comfort and peace.
it was good to be challenged to do God's work.
He is afterall the Alpha and the Omega; the beginning n the end.
so wells. i felt that Convy was a great experience of a camp.
the committee did well too.

As for Adelaide touring, the city's pretty small and Rundle Mall is pretty much it.
we only took a day to walk around and went to Chinatown for food.
didnt manage to go to the acclaimed Baroussa Valley and the Wildlife Sanctuary.
wished we made it to Baroussa Valley though. after hearing so much about their fantastic dessert wine.
but cuz it was not on the way back to Melbourne. we skipped it.
so after dinner. we started on our supposedly 9 hour drive back to melbourne.
halfway, we decided to stay the night in a motel instead and it was really dodgy actually.
we put up in a motel in a town called Kingston. the place was really like a setup for a typical horror movie.
dimly-lit corridors, creaky doors, bunk beds, dripping water in the toilet and gothic receptionist. what more could we ask for at that time of the night.
so anyways. we just made do and slept the night.

next day.. continued on our road trip back to Melb.
stopped over in Mt Gambier. took photos at the gorgeous Blue Lake. really nice view.
then again at Umpherston sinkhole. was a pretty place.
the next stop was then at Port Fairy.
Dinner-ed at Apollo Bay then all the way home.
was a good bonding session in the car w the peeps. (Jojo, Jan, Vince and Jinn)

Sunday.
dinner w the group at Sung's kitchen for celebrating Nat's belated bday.
was good food. minus the wait. :)
played Poker later on at Jojo's place. was fun! =) i won my Happy meal at McDs! :)

today was HarbourTown shopping w song mei, jan, jojo n Jinn.
was nice checking out the place but not all the shops were opened yet though.
but Docklands was still nice anyhows. always a very nice place to chill.
though it seems pretty atas too. hee.
wanna go back someday to eat at NewQuay.. the seafood buffet =)

the moment i saw my grades on my transcript last night.. i was excited.! the 2.5 years gone by has finally paid off. :) definitely all worth it.! we have all started out together. and now its all.... DONE! yay!!! alrightys.. im looking fwd to Dec 18th! *smiles all over*

was awesome lunch. loved it. really nice good food.
lunch was at Va Tutto in Ivanhoe. lovely place.
i had a rockling fillet w scallops for mains and to end off. got a panna cotta dessert w strawberries, jellies n strawberry sorbet. yum!
it was nice celebrating and catching up w them. :)
I'm looking fwd to Convention on monday n the folks, bro and aunt coming on the 12 n 13th. :)

life's been GREAT since the summer hols have started..
headed to GoldCoast for a 6-day trip.. the trip was really fun!!
went there with the housemates n Raymond. great bonding times :)
though the weather was a dampener for a couple of days. we still made the best of it!

its like a revisit of memories. the 1st time i was there was when i was a kid. like aged 5 or smth..
cant remember a thing.
movie world was great fun. the superman escape was a thriller!
crazy fun w the group n we met up tommy hilda n their friends too..
loved the trip.! :)

i got back on monday and been having catchups and sending ppl to the airport as they head back home.
gosh.. farewells are hard. nv really liked them.
thank God at least i still get to see them for graduation.
but when the reality finally sets in and things arent the same anymore..
i will definitely miss them heaps.! =(
a chapter has closed and we are all opening a new chapter of our lives; going on separate journeys from here. =/
the past 2.5 yrs been awesome. friends who became family are loved...
i will write all about this another time.. not a gonna dwell into a sappy post this time round.

the hols have been awesome. i've been real busy. its like time is really zooming by.
i havent really had the time to sit down or just stay home and slack through my holidays.
everyday im kinda up to smth. haha. its been good nonetheless.
next week im up in Adelaide for OCF Convention.
gonna set that time aside to seek God and just dedicate the time to understanding n knowing more of Him. gonna be awesome! im psyched.
5 full days of God-n-me time :)

plan for the hols is madness.. till i get back to Spore at least.
back from Adelaide and my aunt n parents are gonna be here in less than a week.
results are out this fri. i sure hope i do well and graduate with decent grades. :)
parents, bro n aunt are gonna be here till 22nd. then its Christmas time!

im ALMOST done with exams.. but im enjoying myself like its all over.
the weekend was spent celebrating Chaz & Elaine's bdays.
was great fun. and the days prior was us shopping in Chadstone.
the hotrocks massage on fri at Chaz's place was awesome.
sooo relaxing and felt really good.
had a lot of fun mingling and having a girlie night together too.
Saturday was Chaz' skydive trip but as we were on our way to Torquay, the call came to say that it has to be cancelled due to the unaccomodating weather of Melbourne.
bummer! we are now really praying that this Saturday's would be good.
its gonna be exciting watching her jump and gonna be thrilling for her.
and anyways since we were already on our 2 hr journey there. we decided to take a road trip to go 'surf shop' shopping.
the sales werent good and im still waiting for the Christmas one to come.
gonna be reduced even further. =)
we had a really good breakfast of Crepes at Panache in Geelong.
was yummy!
then went around the place. stopped over the beaches and had food along the way. the normal road trip.
cant wait to do another one w the rest of the crew.
got home,refreshed a bit. and off we went to korean dinner at KimchiGrandma in Carnegie.
dinner was super satisfying.. yummy yummy!
topped off with champagne. awesome.
got home and we had the cake. another sinful treat. yummy nonetheless. Brunetti's!
12am the clock struck and we were at Elaine's place to give her a surprise.
a pleasant one for her im sure:)
glad she enjoyed it.
my fun filled weekend ended off with 2 loved messages at Church.
1st by Adrian Turner on unpacking the my fav phrase 'I can do ALL thing through Christ who strengthens me'
and the 2nd was by Rachel Porch on Obtaining my birthrights by saying 'i need a transition of my heart'.
was just so casual and relax the way Rach brought the message through yet so inspiring and heavily burdened with God's promises.
to be able to enjoy God's blessings, we have to first prepare ourselves to be able to handle and contain them before we can enjoy the fullness of it.
i love my jesus.
Activate Church is hitting the roof! better week after week.! wHeeee!
yeahs. so its back to the lecture notes and more practice today till fri's exams.

mid sem break is finally here..
dont really feel like mid sem anyhows cuz its at the end of week 11 and there's just 3 weeks to exams. -____-
really stupid of MOnash. but owells.
and i've got 2 more assignments to complete before studying for exams.
man... ive been enjoying far too much this sem. im really praying hard i get thru the exams and GRADUATE!
i need to. the pressure is ON!.
God.. i need ur help! as always!
anyways. been hanging out quite a lot w the OCF peeps and all.
really enjoying the time spent w them.
just got back frm E-night clayton today.
they staged a play entitled Hell's Kitchen.
adapted from the Screwtape Letters book by C.S. Lewis.
was pretty good.
basically was about how all of us who do not believe in Christ are Satan's playground.
the Devil steals, kills and destroys but Jesus came to save.
the different vices of the world are just drawing ppl into Hell.
while Christians are praying and expecting God to move, there are constantly ppl going to hell each day.
i felt that seeds were sown through that play. God was moving. i felt it.
though there werent salvations as we wanted. but i defintiely know something moved, smth shifted.
its God's job to move in their lives now.
on another note.. im looking fwd to the Tulip Farm trip tmr!
first time being there ever since ive been in Melb.
would be good. taking all the wallpaper-ish photos =)

trusting in His promises with seemingly unwavering faith.
its been hard at times but i know i have to perservere.. knowing the best is yet to be.
God, i need You!
i need transformation. i need direction. i need to not lose my gaze off You. i need You to tell me what i have to do. the reward is near. i wanna be prepared for it.
my prayer for the season.. i really want to get out of this rut which i thought i had problems gotten rid of.
unworthiness, incapable, insecurity, low confidence are not of You.
at the end of it all..its all for good...
nothing comes against those who believe in God. His plans are to prosper and not to harm.
i need to keep claiming Your promises.

sunday church today was awesome.! utterly fantastic.
both the morning and evening services.
just felt moved in the Spirit.
the Holy Spirit was just moving in the whole auditorium.
His presence is just amazing and overwhelming.
just love it when that happens.
the supernatural is real ppl!
i'm brought to another level..
by faith....

thank God for bringing Beatrice and Mark to church today.
glad the service was so impactful to them. thank God for leaving us all changed aft that.
i really thank God for the Holy Spirit to be ever-present with us. its just awesome doing life knowing we have someone to depend on ALWAYS :)

school's into its 3rd week alr.
so fast. JUST 10 more weeks to exams and its end of Uni life.
gosh. much as i wanna get everything over and done with, im gonna miss all my friends when they all leave for back home.
gosh. the familiarity and time spent hanging out together everyday or the many occasions.
ahhh. im gonna miss all of it!
for now, im really enjoying every moment of my time now.
live for the moment for now!
the memories worth keeping and the times shared will always be treasured.
okays. its getting a bit emo. but well. cast all of that aside and yes im enjoying myself loads this sem.
Thank God for his wonderful sustenance and provision!

last sem of Uni! finally!
its all gonna be over in 12 weeks. gosh. tt's fast.
ive come to the end of my University degree. the past 2 years went by really quick i must say.
of course time seemed to have passed by really slowly in the midst of studying for exams and assignments in between semester.
but the journey has been great!
cant believe its all ending and most of us are heading home soon.
of cos ive another year (most probably) in Monash doing a masters of applied finance.
but tt's an option for me. to think thru what i want to do in finance industry and basically start my career.
gosh. this all seems really surreal. the thought used to be so distant now its all of a sudden so near.
Thank God for all the times that ive had in Uni. be it happy, sad, frustrating, and just feel like giving up. all has been good!
loved the whole experience being here in Aust and making friendships to last a lifetime.
friends who have became family in a foreignland.
i def still do miss home now n then. but they help relieve the nolstagia. :)
alrights. getting all emo n stuff already.
school is into its 2nd week and im still in holiday mood. =x

last week i had OCF welcome night and the booth setup in the morning to be busy with.
welcome night was good. made new frens and had good fellowship.
hopefully the friday meeting would see more of them coming.
yeps. and so its still pretty slack now. still getting into the groove of things.
gotta start serious work over the weekend i hope. assignments are coming my way alr. starting week 4. 2 weeks frm now.

HILLSONG'08 is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!!

this year's conference was just fantastic. got so much out of it that it has just changed me and transformed my mind.
Thank God for his wonderful presence and works he did in my life throughout the 5 days.
just soaking in His presence and consuming of His word was just amazing.
God is just soooOOooooOOooo good!
seriously. i got so much outta this yr's conference due to the convictions in my spirit and just clarified up a lot of things i was asking God for. God is mysterious yet so faithful in keeping His promises.
just basking in His presence and relaxing in the His church was just so refreshing and loved.
the theme for this year's conference was on mercy and justice.
most importantly...
He taught me what unconditional LOVE is.
really. this year's conference w the I Heart revolution being kickstarted and all. i really loved how the theme is all centred on Love and God's heart for His people.
i fell in love w Jesus all over again. conference brought me back to where this all first began. how i started my walk with Jesus as Lord and Saviour of my life and just loving the journey w God on my side. Fantastic is really an understatement.
the encounters i had with God over the conference time was just enough to keep me wow-ed over and over again at how magnificent being a child of God is.
i truly embrace the grace He has over my life; knowing my identity and authority in Christ.
He so freely gave of His love to the world and sent His one and only son to come down and save the world. that just amazes me.
The love of Christ. :)
anyhows. i am really strengthened in my faith and really want to do so much more for His kingdom.
i can do so much w Him on my side. Thank God for that.
wanting Him to break my heart for what breaks His. keeps me reaching out to the unsaved and lost.
and...i realllyyy reallyyy wanna thank Him most of all for my good results.
without His strength, its really impossible to obtain the results ive got.
i know how much He has done for me and keeps me rooting for Him.!

anyways. the time in Sydney hanging out w the guys was fun.
and the one night stay at the backpackers' inn w the guys was such an experience.
this trip in sydney..we went sightseeing again. and to the Sydney Fish Market for the needed dose of seafood. :)
we also have been having so much steak and fish and chips in Sydney that we were all craving chinese food the moment we got back.
2 weeks of western food was enough for me to miss good ol' asian food A LOT.
but all's good. i really enjoyed myself in Sydney this time. meeting up ppl and the fellowship was just great.
thanks to Charity too for so graciously letting us bunk in w her at the hotel and the car rides to and from the acer arena are greatly appreciated.
her boss was one funny guy that was nice to be around with too. he's so happy go lucky.
anyhows, the sydney trip has strengthened friendships and i really love the company of friends. just love it. to me, they are my family in melb alr. :)
it was really good catching up w the SA guys too. been a while since JC ended and army took them for 2 years. been good just hanging out n seeing them 24/7 for 10 days. lol. treasure their friendship. cant wait to get back n hang out w the rest of the group too :)
so anyways. as much as i enjoyed the trip, it feels really good to be back home.
gonna adjust to getting back into routine and all. i miss it actually.
the holidays have went by so quickly for me. been really busy.
just wanna sit back and relax now. =)

the SA gang in Melb

the guys were here over the whole week.
been busy taking them around and just exploring Melb like tourists like how they are.
pretty fun. took quite a bit of road trips to off country. was fun hanging out with them :)
covered quite a bit of places and had very early starts to most mornings that kinda tired them out by the last few days. hahah.
places covered included St Kilda's beach, Mt Dandenong for awesome Skyhigh view of Victoria and Pie in the Sky for their pies and scones, Great Ocean Road (a place not to be missed), Wilson's Promontory with the OCF peeps too, Chadstone and City shopping, Otway lighthouse, Twelve Apostles, Crown Casino.
a night's stay at Apollo Bay was awesome. watching the sunrise in the morning was spectacular. loved it! the air there was simply crisp and fresh. no joke.
we had dinner at Sofia's one night and they were surprised at how large the portions were for a single. had nice italian gelati for desserts too :)
then i took them to try kangaroo meat at Giorgios' the other night which they quite liked though it was a done lil rare this time round.
i sure hope they had fun the past week. i did :)
they've left for Sydney this morning; taking a long long 1,000,000 metres roadtrip. :)
gonna meet them there when i head up w Justin n Darrell tmr.
yay! more fun added to the holidays!

got back from OCF girls night in..was fantastic fellowship. :)
always loved those girly get togethers with lifegroup meetings and OCF girls' devotion nights..
tonight we had good food again and really yummy desserts.. indo 'tang yuan', mango cheesecake which was a lil messy and chai latte :) awesome!
then we had praise and worship before we had our homemade facial mask made by Calvin.
it was so good.. skin felt soft and supple after the 15 mins mask treatment.
best of all was that it was homemade. calvin's really good at making the mask.
gonna get the recipe from him soon then can make it when im feeling stressed and need to detox too. :)
it was a great refresher after a long day at work.
i had a good day today. thank God!

last night's lifegroup was great too.. good sharing great prayers! love the *HistoryMakers* :)

havent been back updating this blog for a pretty long time..
the time in between updates has been good..
celebrated mying's 21st.. had a few catch ups w friends. had awesome lifegroup meetings.. kickstart of Adopt-a-Street.. and the good ol' school to be busy with..

meeying's 21st was great.. i sure hope she enjoyed it as much as i did.
the group of us had dinner at Giorgios'. one of the random Italian eateries that i chanced across while getting lost on my way to school from work. haha..turned out the food was great.
definitely going back sometime again. :)
had loads of fun with the group. as usual.
i just love friends like that :) they are basically my family here in Australia.

lifegroup meeting on wed was great..
just love how *HistoryMakers* (that's wad our lifegroup's called) are just made up of girls.
we get to do girly things. and always have the common understanding since we are all girls.
its just comfortable and we get to heaps of stuff together.
we kickstarted Adopt-a-Street. a new initiative of outreach done by our church.
as a lifegroup, we went out into the community seeking to serve and build relationships with the people living on the street(of our choice).
it was a lil daunting at first. but sure got better as we went about knocking on doors and just wanting to know them better.
hopefully over the weeks and months, we get to become friends with these people. tt will be fantastic..

exams are gonna be here in 2 weeks..
starting to get into full study mode now that school's officially over for the semester.
i need the constant motivation and focus to be on my books.
get it over n done with and im gonna enjoy the holidays :)
cant wait.. got quite a bit in stored for post-exam activities. yippEe!

21st birthday party was a blasttt!!
simply awesome.!

we had dinner at Glencoe's..
really nice and cosy place.
about 30 of us in our own private room.
the staff were really nice and accommodating.
dinner was good.. i tried kangaroo meat for the first time.
amazingly tender. i actually liked it more than the fillet mignon i had.
went photo crazy during the intermissions between courses. haha.
had loads of fun w the gang..

Special thanks to my dearest family who came all the way from Singapore just for the celebration and to my relatives who put in much effort to make it a really memorable night.

today marks the end of crazy assignment period. yay!
handed in my last assignment for the semester today.
gonna take a break from all of this madness and get started w revision only later on. :)
thank God for keeping me thru it all!.

ytd was another day at GrantReady.
was a pretty good day considering not much time was spent in the office.
we had lunch out to celebrate another succesful end of financial yr of the company.
Adrian&Heather treated us to really nice Japanese food nearby.
food was really awesome at Ocha. apparently one of Melbourne GoodFood guides' recommendations.
grants are just tedious stuff.
really need to get into the groove of things.
still learning a lot as i go along :)

im pretty excited about next week.
really looking forward to the family coming on Wednesday :)
cant wait to spend some family time!
my 21st is just next friday.
cant believe it. tt's fast..

the week AS USUAL has been busy.
w assignments.. tt's just a major part of a student's life.
it's my last one for the semester at least. thank god!
anyways.. i was looking forward to church all week.
sunday was just amazing!
i intended to just attend the morning service n head back home to get some work done.
but no.. i ended up staying for the 2nd service at 6pm too.
pastor corey's series of 'living the supernatural life' was just inspiring.
it just got better week after week. and sure ended off w a bang!
im embarking on this journey of finding out what my anointing is and really walking in it.
His grace will see me through.
it got me all inspired and made me wanna change certain things in my life to embrace all that life has to offer.
life is just exciting. Thank God for His wonderful creation!
im pretty excited about next week too actually.
my family's coming over to Melb to celebrate my 21st w me.=)
really psyched for it. :)
cant wait for this friday when i hand in my assignment though.
i can finally take a breather before studying for exams.

the weeks have been busy busy busy for me...
its assignment fever now. everyone's practically caught up in books so much that we've nv really had a breather and did nothing but enjoy the weekend.
anyhows.. im having fun in the midst of it all though.
thank god for church and the many church activities throughout the week.
just handed in my assignment today. one last one due next fri.
gonna be on it for the whole weekend and next week.
hopefully we get our head around what the requirements of the assignment is.
pretty complex stuff.

ytd was my 1st day at Adrian&Heather's place.
undergoing training with GrantReady to learn how the application system of grants in Aust works.
been pretty interesting. just a whole lot of reading to be doing the whole day.
they are a really nice couple though. made working with them a whole lot easier.
Leslie's a great person to work with too. :)
was tiring being at the computer the whole day.
chad came pick me up and we had dinner before heading for the KLC Women's event.
we had a good message by Georgie Baxter and just hanging out with the girls.
anyways..the weekend's here.. gonna be assignment time as i said. but im also really looking forward to church on sunday!

on a random note.... im having cravings for steamboat..!!
been a long while since we had them and ive been craving for them since i-dunno-when.

brunch at fairfield boathouse was great.. really nice chillout place away from the city.
had fun meeting new ppl and just hanging out on a saturday.
rowing the boats down Yarra was a good experience too. :)
at night was S.E.A Fest at Caulfield by OCF.
we have just such great chefs there. whipping up dishes so close to heart.
the event went pretty well.. we had games and learnt a lil of lindy hop.
i had fun.!

i just love going to church each week. always looking fwd to it once monday comes.

literally... God just moved throughout the conference.
i felt Him for myself and literally saw Him working in the auditorium.
His presence was felt throughout the place.
Thank God for what he is doing in KLC.
Thank God for blessing us with such a wonderful turnout for our very first conference.
Thank God for all the sponsors who were willing to invest in us.
Thank God for all the finances
Thank God for the wonderful MLT and our dearly loved Pastors Corey and Simone.
Thank God for His church!!!

I really enjoyed Activate'08.!
This time it wasnt a 'its just another conference experience and that's y i'm high' kinda thing..
i truly experienced Him and God has spoken some things that i've been praying about and has given me His confirmation. Thankyou!
the key message of it all is... REPOSITIONING!
repositioning myself for greater works.. =)
anyways.. conference has definitely hyped me up and making me really look forward to Hillsong'08 which i KNOW will be another blast of a time.!

Activate'08 has started off with a great note.! :)

our first ever church conference is going on really well...
everything is just going good..
attendance is awesome.. standing at 240 :)
the decorations done by the conference team was just fantastic.
i just love the setup and stuff they always do at every event.
like.. its just a rented premise we're hosting our events but they nv fail to bring the awesome touch to things. :) making it look really pretty n nice..
will post up some pics of it when i upload them.

anyways..last night was just liberating..
the opening night of praise and worship songs were just apt.
they got me jumping to my feet along to the beat of those great worship songs.
I love God.. love His church!
today i was in for ActivateKids! most parts of the day.
only got to sit in for electives after lunch. it was by Ps. Brendan Roach.. principal of Harvest Bible College.
the session felt like a lecture on communications..
but i sure got a few tips here n there as wells as a couple of reminders =P
I'm really looking fwd to tonight's message by Shane Baxter now.
just home for a lil rest n wash up before heading back to Aquinas.
conference has just been really good so far!
tmr's gonna be even better.. finale night x)

i feel like a complete idiot with computer stuff..
which made me really pissed w myself when i reformatted my com few days back.
lost all my important documents in the process of reformatting
all because......
silly me backed up the shortcut to 'my documents' instead of doing the normal copying n pasting i USUALLY do.
no idea y i just took them off desktop.
oh wells.... and so i was really upset to find the folder empty when i re-loaded my stuff.
=(

Thank God for Raymond.! he managed to find this program which helps recover stuff that are lost n deleted.
thank god he found the crack in it or else i would have had to pay for retrieving my documents.
I sure owe him one. :)
oh wells...now that ive gotten the files back..its the long process of recovering them.
definitely not complaining abt the few '000s of documents now in 'Backup Files' to organise.
oh goodness.. im def nt touching reformat in the longest time.

i need to read 'Dummies' guide to Reformatting'.! im a complete computer idiot.seriously =(

part of summer specials apparently and we managed to catch it before the week ended.

it must have been an awesome time back in church having the entire service dedicated to baptism...
really significant and memorable :)

Church on GoodFriday was awesome...
not only was i reminded of Christ's cruxifiction on the cross for my sins but also of His loving sacrifice.
He has saved a people so undeserving but He did it nonetheless.
no matter how imperfect we will always be, God loves us no matter what.
Yes. i agree life as a christian aint always all that smooth sailing and even more demanding perhaps.
with me knowing God's wanting of me to be perfect but yet at the same time im always falling short of it, it feels pressurising at times.
people may find it a constant strive is needed to sustain this relationship w God and decide to give this whole 'religion' idea a miss.
i personally find my release and a support in God instead.
something i can never expect that of someone in this world to provide. God can. He's practically my ultimate providence whom i know will never fail me in every circumstance.
i see Christianity as a relationship in the spiritual realm which in this human world, its very hard to explain n experience.
knowing such sacrificial and unconditional love exists just overwhelms me.
my strength, my refuge and my ultimate provision.
Jehovah Jireh, my provider!

had a day out at the beach yesterday w the clique and andy n his friends.
it was all the way at Mornington Peninsula.
we did BBQ korean style.
was great fun hanging out w the peeps.
the group of them went playing by the beach. all out in beach wear n bikinis. :)
some of us then went to play ball and checked out the beach dock there.
liked the place. the sea breeze was refreshing and it was a great day hanging out there.
thank god we had good weather.
the drive was about an hr.
by the time we got back everyone were just really tired.
it was indeed worth the journey there n back :)
today was church.
was good to be back in kids.
trying on w JAM now. its been pretty alright.
going through this transition period now.
and things are in quite a bit of a disorganised manner.
oh wells.. w more prayer. i hope to get things more settled at least :)
the week ahead is gonna be sch w a test n presentation coming up.
gotta get my a** back on the chair and start serious work.

a week of school has already started.. and tt also means ive been back for a week alr.
things have gotten back to how it was before summer began..
school, church, hangouts and more gatherings :)
its been good that the 1st week of school hasnt exactly been thaat busy..since tutorials have not officially started.
2nd week of sch is about to commence and tt's gonna be more hectic knowing when assignments will be due and all..
this sem is me doing all my core subjects to clear my banking and finance major.
a change from the prior semesters would be more group assignments this time round.
thank god ive got justin n desmond doing the course w me. :)
they've been a blessing! no nightmares about having un-cooperative groupmates and all.
anyways.. this yr being my last year completing my degree in melb.
its gonna be an awesome time spent here im sure.
friendships made are being strengthened and maintained and whilst all of us will leave for our home countries someday. we'll nt look at it for now. :)
anyhows, im enjoying myself loads being back here whilst definitely a part of me still misses home now n then.

on another note.. ive met up w uncle pat, aunt diana and all for dinner the other day.
we had turkish food at a restaurant in Sydney Road. and yes as the name suggests, it does lead all the way to Sydney if u're driving
food was surprisingly good. was pretty much my first try of their cuisine. :)

church today was great!
reminded me about the basics of Christianity yet at the same time reminding me that God is capable of ALL and EVERYthing.!
He works beyond my imagination and my expectations.
a load to digest but sure sparked off some thinking.
been a while since ive been back at KLC but it sure feels good to be back.
was great meeting back the girls frm lifegroup. missed them loads.!

caught sweeney todd the other day at MSq.
nt bad a movie i must say..
with Johnny Depp in it.. tt's alr a consolation it wont be thaat bad. :)
the movie reminded me a lil of Corpse Bride. another of Tim Burton's production that i found pretty interesting.
today i watched the classic love story PS I Love you.
hmm.. i guess it wasnt as good as i thought it to be.
all the hype about it being a tearjerker and whatnots.
in the end..it almost became a tad cheesy to me.
well.. definitely it had its sweet parts of the storyline with the guy being so nice and chivalrous to the girl. helping her get over his death and all.
but i would definitely have to read the book. guess when imagination come into play while reading. it would portray a much better lovey-dovey feel which the movie has failed slightly in.
more movies coming up that i wanna watch...like Jumper, 27Dresses, Ah Long Pte Ltd, Leap Years and moreee...
wells... its back to our other source when watching movies become expensive in Aust compared to Spore.

and yes... its one of those very near Changi Hospital.
we went there early. played card games, mahjong n so on..
dinner spread was great. both BBQ and food cooked by his mom.
i left for awhile to head to Uncle's place for CNY gatherings.
played Blackjack again. won my cabfare back at least :) which was goood..hee...
everyone kinda left at 12. so the guys came pick me up again to go back to the chalet.
hung around while law n his friends played serious drinking games.
then off we went... cuz the guys wanted to check out Changi Hospital.
GOsh!. it was a pretty harrowing experience.
i mean. amidst all the rumours of it being haunted and all.
we were seriously playing w fire.
i was pretty freaked out. though of cos there was nothing.
for me of cos. the ppl in the grp claimed they saw stuff which i believe to be fake. oh wells...
anyways. i was really reluctant in going to the 2nd building but went in the end cuz i felt bad for going all the way w the guys and they dont get to go if i didnt. they were really protective at least.
and thanks a lot to merj ! he was willing to stay w me any time i wanted to leave and had been really comforting when i was pretty freaked out. thanks to the rest of the guys too!
it ended well. i didnt get any encounters. thank god!
we then headed to check out the transexuals.
my mood was lifted slightly then..gosh. these 'girls' hv really hot bods.
anyways. we just wanted to disturb law cuz its his 21st anyways.
we saw guys picking those 'girls' up and all. goshhh!. what a sight! at 2+am in the morning.
supper at 3am later at Changi Village hawker nearby.
back to shaun's to collect merj's car before merj dropped me home.

CNY is finally here.
this much awaited time has been bringing warmth and joy to my heart.
its been filled with great reunions of distant relatives whom have lost contact and drifted over the years due to busy lives n schedules.
now it feels really good to be all tgt as a really BIG family united once again :)
im really happy for grandpa. it has been a sight and wish for him to see everyone being so happy w one another :))
it has def uplifted his spirit and made him enjoy this celebration period more.
well.. as usual.. CNY period. im busy w visiting relatives and friends as well as eating the CNY goodies that are terribly missed.
this yr's CNY has been exceptionally great.
amidst the CNY atmosphere and decor and more Angbaos.. lies warm reunions and great conversations held.
love it!

in for a great weekend and back to work on monday.
btw... CNY celebrations at tumble tots earlier on was great too..
celebrating it w the cute lil kids and their parents has been an absolute joy :)

been a long long long time since i've updated...
had gone n came back frm the bintan trip w the girlies.
awesome time we had in tt lil island. :)
fun making fel do stuff to get her bday present. haha..
it was her 21st! we didnt let her off tt easily x)
it def felt really good chilling out n relaxing over the short weekend getaway.
the massage we had was fabulous. super shiok!

it doesnt feel any extra special crossing over to this new year as the clock struck 12 on NYE but i sure know that there are more exciting things that are in store for me in this year of 2008. God is good :)
another new year. another year older. another year wiser (i hope)
looking back at year 2007. the year has been a smooth and pretty good one for me.
learnt quite a bit as i journey-ed on thru life w Him and school has been good thruout the year. i really thank God for His faithfulness and for watching over me all this while :)
so yet another year has passed and i've grown and matured more too. hopefully am a better me as a result. x)

so anyways. marking the end of 2007 for me was spending holidays in Beijing and Hk w mum.
the trip was great as a whole cept' for me losing my camera and the lil things that i didnt like abt China. otherwise, all's good.!

In summary....

we went to visit Tian An Men Square and Forbidden City. a must in a visit to China.
not forgetting we scaled the Great Wall of China too- one of the 7 wonders of the world.
it was pretty tiring but sure felt a good sense of achievement after. :)
we tried the various cuisines available in Beijing.
well..i've come to conclude that i like all other types of food available but the traditional beijing food. the stuff are all too oily and i dont like the ma la taste that most dishes include. i would just comment that their food arent appetising to me other than their world renowned Peking duck.
it was sold super cheap there and it's just well done ^^
other touristy sites we went were the Imperial Vault of Heaven, Summer Palace, Liu Li Chang (a place where they sold antiques) and the Arts Centre that pretty much resembled our very own Esplanade.
we went to check out the Olympic village too. architecture of the building i would say is pretty creative. the main stadium was referred to by the Beijingers as Bird's nest. =) it sure looked like one.
did most of our shopping at the place that was their version of 'Orchard Road'. nothing much to buy too. cuz the authenticity and stuff were questionable to me. haha.
amidst the dusty environment and spitting everywhere as well as the usual cheena culture and behaviour.. i still enjoyed the trip much :) LOL.
my quote that sums it all: U can bring a person outta China, but u sure cant bring 'China' out of the person'.

Hongkong...

was heaven compared to Beijing. LOL.
ok. not really to that exaggerated extent but i felt more at home upon touching down in HKIA.
back on familiar ground.
in HK for 5 days and it was mostly yumcha every morning w the grandaunts.
went shopping at the various malls now n then. didnt buy much anyhows.
one day was spent in Macau.
checked out what the hype was about.. of the grand-ness of the casinos and the resort-like hotels. :)
dinners w the relatives were great. :)
fresh seafood dinner and river view. what could be better?
one afternon, we went up to Victoria Peak.
had high tea and looked across the whole of HK frm there :)
i met up Kenneth for breakfast on the 2nd last day.
been great catching up :)
met Hilda, Candice n Tommy after and we went for lunch n shopping :)
MongKok and Tsim Sha Tsui for saturday afternoon.
steamboat dinner at Uncle Chung's.
Aunt Jessica's bday :)
last day major sendoff at the airport x)
all in all.. i enjoyed the time spent in HK. meeting up the relatives and cousins.

one last post before i go away for hols to Beijing/HK! =Pp
Christmas has come and gone. just as it had started and ended off on a pretty good note.
i had much fun :)
though i would say it is not much as exciting as the years before.
but the warmth of the company of family and friends as well as the Christmas spirit still lingers. :)
guess as i grow older.. my expectations change tooo. x)

eve of christmas.... went for a party at shaun's. the usual annual house party he hosts :)
had much fun meeting up ling and the guys.
love it how we can always pick up from where we left off though we dont meet up thaat often :)
since the days of SAJC. we've been great mates. thank god the friendships shared are going as strong :)
too bad ruishan's not back this hols and lawrence was attending church mass on christmas eve.
oh wells.... another time..another meetup =)

i left his place earlier as usual. had family gathering at home.
got home 11ish.
waiting for 12 oclock to arrive....
we were wishing merry christmas to one another and opening up presents when the clock struck 12 x)

ytd i went rollerblading w the peeps at ECP.

long time since i was trying it out again.

it was a first for the rest of them.

had good fun learning and trying out blading with the aid of the railings to trying on the footpath. :)

they got the hang of it preettyy well at the end of 2 hrs :))

all tired + sweaty + thirsty + hungry. we decided to go for lunch at the Lagoon food centre.

i finally got to eat my satay :)) LOL

cabbed back to Bedok aft lunch.

train-ed down to City Hall.

walked arnd Marina Square before i had to rush home.

bathed + changed before rushing out to meet Hui :)

then to church to catch the musical -The Christmas Tale.

the production was awesome (the music, the setting, the choir, the cast, and MOST IMPORTANTLY... the storyline telling about the TRUE meaning of Christmas) and i really Thank God for His presence throughtout.

im happy Hui loved it xD

both of us then went for supper at TheCheesePrata Shop after.

was a great time spent talking about everything and anything under the moon with her. just like the good ol' times.

i thank god for this bestfriend who really knows me inside out. too bad fel was still away n couldnt join us ytd.

friends, family, boyfriends, work, life in itself basically. we talk about anything :)

The Golden Compass

Caught The Golden Compass with dad today at vivo.
the 2 hrs plus show was good in its productions and effects but im not in agreement with the storyline at all.
the underlying beliefs that went into the production of the movies does not sit well with me.
considering the fact that the story undermines the existence of God.
based on the book Northern Lights, the writer of that trilogy had written the stories to go against C.S lewis and the movie Chronicles of Narnia.
the storyline though being watered down in the movie is trying to play up in a subtle manner in children's minds the idea of atheism.
being the first part of three.. it increasingly impresses the killing of God and that everyone is free to do what he/she wishes in this world.
the movie taken at face value for the fantasy and effects of the movie, its good to get into the christmas spirit. but definitely not the underlying beliefs that drive the movie.
Christmas is here and we all celebrate it ALL because of Jesus.
Jesus is the ONLY reason for this joyous season!
His works and miracles that happen till this day definitely will speak against disbelief.
how can there be the null existence of a God. ?
tt's smth that i can never digest having experienced encounters and His hand upon my life.
By faith... God never fails! :)
He will make His face shine and let His ppl know that He is God.

been 5 days since im back and its been pretty busy. :)

mum's bday + grandparents' wedding anni + relative's wedding + meetup w the girlies + spending time w the family + christmas shopping =D

weather hasnt been accommodating at all.

makes me just wanna stay in and snuggle in bed.

i hate rainy weathers when i have to be out.

makes me procrastinate a lot of stuff and constantly hoping the weather gets better before i head out. haha.

anyways. meet up w the girlies ytd was great.

summer fun continues...

the feeling of not having to think abt school is just great.

the past week has been good. hung out with frens and got some of school stuff done..

had a BBQ at home last weekend. had auntie sharon n the family over too. was good fun.

experimented w heat beads for BBQ instead of our familiar charcoal which they dont really use here. =P

main highlight of the week... Roxy Surf Jam on thursday at Apollo Bay.

a long 3-hour drive all the way along the Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay. wayyy further from the usual Torquay we go to.

it was fun.

2nd try at surfing and its been good meeting the Roxy girls surf team and learning a thing or two from them.

almost there.. i need MORE practice to stand on the board and not just kneel on it.

anyways. got a showbag from the event.

did a lil shopping at the surf factory outlets after before heading back.

attended Aunt Angie n Carolyn's piano concert at Bernie's musicland after w the peeps.

was good. the kids are talented. =)

all in all.. the hols so far has been eventful and fun. more to come as i head home in 1.5 weeks time. ;)

summer holiday's starting off on a really good note. :)

been having loads of fun ever since exams ended.

met gladys on melb cup day. FINALLY to catch up n chill.!

being the day that stops the nation. melb cup saw many ladies going out dressed in the latest spring fashion and their big hats and boas and guys looking great in suits and ties.

its the Aussie annual thing. :)

anyways. we caught up over desserts :)

had churros at brunswick street before having yummy pancakes along the same street too.

walked arnd the city. didnt really do much shopping since quite a no. of shops were closed and we just wanted to catch up anyways.

great time spent. time has been zooming past. we realised we hadnt met to chill for more than a yr. though we're both in melb. its always been things that cropped up last min or both of us just had clashing busy schedules.

glads' disgusting soap-tasting energiser drink that we didnt touch aft taking a sip of it. ewww.

i then left to meet elaine darrell and the group of korean guys for dinner.

AWESOME! the anointing of God upon his life is amazing.

he gave a mindblowing message and he really exudes great passion for God.

we are to being on fire for our loving Father yet MAINTAINING it is what that matters.

we're not to do it alone. God never intended it to be anyway. the message really dealt with several issues im currently facing and seeking answers to.

alot to digest but sure awesome for more character building and refining.

the process of refining in the furnace of afflication.

i wanna come out of the refiner's fire purer than before. being more Christ-like. :)

holding on to faith and having His love to surround and keep me going. greeatt. x)

after the leadership summit, the grp of us met up shar babe at her place for Romeo's.

exams are finally over for all of us.

its great to be in the company of good friends. lovin' it.!

today. morning breakfast before we headed off for day 2 of john bevere's leadership seminar at Citylife.

another awesome morning spent. this time the message was on the role and purpose of the Church and the ppl being a part of the emerging church.

really answered alot of things i was asking God. the more hungry one is, the more one will seek. tt's the KEY!

ASK and it shall be given. !

i wanna be hungry for God and letting him work in my life. He never fails in his promises.! NEVER. He's the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Thank GOD!!

im going thru a new season now. waiting upon the Lord to reveal his will for my life. its gonna be an amazing journey im sure. i need to hang on to this ride although it is seeming pretty tough at times.!

tonight's gonna be another great service im sure. :)

the summer holidays have OFFICIALLY started...!

the reality of having a 3.5 months break from now is yet to sink in after all the cramming for exams. but it sure is easy to get back into just doing nothing and relax. the last paper has been an adrenaline rush for me. cramming through the night and going to exams with 2.5 hrs of sleep(a very disturbed one summore). thank god the paper went ok. shrimal kept his word abt the questions after all the numerous changes made during semester's lectures. all papers down. the results are in 3 weeks time. for now. its enjoyment for me!. i really thank god for his grace and favour during this exam season. awesome. unfailing promises. ALWAYS! i really couldnt have done it even half as well on my own. anyways.no more schoolwork until next march. woOOhoOO!. alrightys. im looking forward to more outings and all during the next month before heading home :)

was called home to be with the Lord on monday 29Oct07.

she lost her battle to cancer.

i trust she's in a better place now.

free of all the pain and sufferings she was under while having chemo-treatment.

i thank god for her life and her; she's been a great blessing to all of us.

she's almost like an aunt to me on coming to australia.

i pray for god's peace and love to surround the family and for them to stay strong during this time...

i got the news only on wednesday frm uncle patrick while studying for my paper.

im feeling real bad now that i cant make it for the funeral due to exams.

it all came too sudden and it was just 3-4 weeks ago when i last saw her.

then.. she was reacting well to treatment and medication.

we were all holding on for a good outcome.

ive no idea why things took a turn for the worse but it sure did.

mayb it's for the better. but im in no position of understanding all of this that happened.

well... there are so many 'why's in life that i dont understand either.

ive just gotta have faith and trust in god; for his plans and purposes are higher than mine.

my understanding is limited but ive gotten used to accepting it.

there are bound to be circumstances i meet that just dont make ANY sense to me.

.... the funeral's held today. i pray for proceedings to go well and for the family to stay strong...

marking the end of yet another semester..
its exam period again...
in less than a week's time, its the start of my first paper.
and the rest will come up one after another; not too long before its all over.
well, the pressure's there. but it's not enuff to keep me doing revision continuously.
its still considered pretty slack considering the 4 subjects im taking this sem needs quite a great deal of work.
counting down to the first paper. im just making sure revision's underway as each day passes.
i cant wait to get back actually. enjoy my 1 and only summer break out of the whole undergraduate course here in monash.
the fun and enjoyment's awaiting. now's just to get thru this exam crazy period.
2 more weeks! =)

the night was awesome..stories shared by sarah, jacqui and helen were inspiring.

god's promises will ALWAYS come to pass.

im very inspired by these wonderful ladies who held on to god's promises no matter which season of life they were in.

be it spring summer autumn or winter.

like them..i wanna be able to go thru tough times (winter) holding on to the promises that god has for my life. standing firm all knowing of the unconditional love He's surrounded me with.

spring WILL come and it the season that marks new beginnings.

in the time of summer, the season of enjoyment and fun.

i wanna be able to celebrate in its goodness and enjoy it while that season of life lasts. :)

autumn comes and its the time of sowing seeds, gaining new hope to days that lie ahead.

as the seeds are planted, instant gratification may not be seen.

press on and it will bear fruit. just believe it will, and it will come to pass.

and the whole cycle continues...

One thing stand thru those seasons: His wonderful love that surrounds :)

the mid term break has come and gone.
one week of holidays zoomed by pretty quick.
well. ive enjoyed myself much doing everything but studying.
a good recharge for this crucial period of cramming for the exams.
its less than 3 weeks now to the 25th-the start of my first paper.
marking the start of the official tests of knowledge yet also marking the end of second year.
really pray hard to get thru all of them w ease and the Lord's strength.
i definitely cant do this alone. now and then im already feeling the pressure and occasional burnouts.
but i know i can get through this anyhows.! :)
started revision this week after i just gotten my last assignment handed in.
tt's it for the written assignments for the semester.
well. i didnt do too well this semester in terms of assignments i guess.
really have to buck up a lot for the exams.
banking & finance. is it really the course for me?
its hard but i still enjoy the knowledge learnt. hmmm...
oh wells...

thursday was spent w the housemates and tommy in the city and at flemington for the royal melb show.
the day was def filled with loads of fun! :)
pixar exhibition was great. loved all the sketches and all the pastel paintings as well as the great digital art.
there are a lot of work and research done behind the scenes to make films like Cars, ToyStory, The Incredibles and many other pixar animated films. from the initial idea of what the story would be to putting the story into drawing and piecing them all together.
wow. the creativity and talent that these artists have.
i really admire the amount of effort and talent behind these works. amazing.
aft the exhibition, we met tommy up to head to royal melb show at the showgrounds.
we were met by a massive galore of games, animal shows, theme park rides and the many things available for play at the showgrounds.
it was really one giant funfair. :)

1st ever surfing lesson at torquay.

i woke up nice and early feeling pretty excited at the same time uncertain of what the surf lesson would turn out to be.

weather was great and apparently the waves were great.

of cos we were going no where near tt. being 12ft (6ft wave measurement) high, im too scared too start off there.

we all got our intro to surfing with mini waves and getting tt push was good from it was gd enuff. :)

the sea was nature's very own washing machine and our water playground too.

aft a run through and lil warmup, we managed to grasp the idea of what it really takes to surf by our private instructor Kevin.

but i didnt manage to really catch waves and stand on my board in my 1st lesson though. =/

was almost getting to it and i just fall off my board.

takes a great deal more practice i guess.

all in all.well. i def will try surfing again.:)

the morning was a fun start to this new sport.

we all felt really tired and hungry aft all the paddling out and getting up from the overturned boards and stuff.

nonetheless, we alr had seawater and sand for lunch while at it. sounds good isn't it? haha.

natural sustenance.

anyways. we all got home and really crashed for a couple of hours. =P

muscles all sore now but was well worth the experience :)

im def still looking fwd to the next time trying it again.

Holy Spirit Camp @ Phillip Island :)

one word to describe our 1st ever KLC camp: AWESOME!! =)

our first ever kingdom life church camp was held at The Island Resort out at Phillip Island.
drove up friday night.
had a good time of games and fun. was really nice seeing the different side of everyone.
just chilling out together and having fun as a church.:)
saturday was a full day of activities.
i was on kids for one of the sessions. missed out the message by Peter McHugh on tt one.
but his message was great for the one i attended. on acceptance and performance.
many of us perform and strive to perform well in order to be accepted by people.
this stirs up a competitive spirit in us. the bad of it to me was that its wrong basing my life on competitiveness to get a place in the world.
it's definitely not an aim for me in life.
there's no point gaining all the riches in the world but dont build my faith up enough.
i cant depend on myself. it will take me no where.
the god who's my all sufficiency allows me to totally fall into comfort zone w Him.
thank god for his grace n mercies new everyday :) love ya'
so yeap. atmosphere of camp was great.
loved the messages, love the people, love the fun and activities. all for one cause.
tried out the flying fox. kids' style. hee =P
went down to one of the beaches during the break. checked out ppl surfing.
got to Nobbies after. near the place where Penguin Parade was.
caught sight of a couple of penguins tt were up on shore too.
i wanna get back soon to watch the penguin parade. should be great but pretty chilly out there too.!
camp's been my highlight of the week. a great start to my hols too.!!
church today was good. liberating and so much to offer.

the mid sem break is FINALLY here.!
been pretty drained over the past 10 weeks.
des just counted and we've actually completed 5 of our assessment tasks just within the past 2.5 weeks.
been jam packed with work. now's the time to finally take a slight breather before prep for exams.
tt's in a month's time.
i cant wait for summer break actually.
my 1 n only 3 months break =)
wells. at least there's something to look forward to this weekend.
tmr's church camp at phillip island.
im excited!! =P
sure its gonna be fun and with God in the picture. it will be awesome! :)

got away from the assignment fever for a while...
attended a student life ball at lincoln of toorak on fri night.
had makeup done at bobbi brown. rushed to shar's.
got ready amazingly quick and walked to the venue.
how glam. :) but well it was too near to take the tram.
dinner was good, company was good, music was great :), skit w shiho-san in it was cute, overall it was just a fun night!
des picked us up from shar's and fetched me back to clayton. =D
my first ball in melb's been cool. friendship n fun :)

last night celebrated shiho's 21st at my place.

had steamboat finallyy aft a long long time.

homemade cake was yummy!

it was des birthday on Sept 12.

whole gang went down eureka for tt dude's 23rd.

with the constant crave for spore food, we got dinner catered by Old Raffles Place.

food was great... nolstagic too..=P

had fun chatting over dinner n cake, back to the good ol' college days tt seemed ages ago.

hung around till 10+ before the group of us headed back to clayton..

was fun !

time set off: 930am - Monash bus loop

1st stop of the day: Caulfield campus
assignment handed in.
met up with shar.

then....tram-ed down to Balaclava station..
place looked really interesting and we decided to have breakfast there.
was a good and filling one to start off the shopping trip.

Next up: main shopping place to check out. - Elsternwick.
got our dresses settled for the ball after trying on numerous (for me at least). it was a real good bargain. -Cactus Jam ;)
was a great buy.

Bridge Road - $20 steals. loved the black top i got. =))

on to Spencer Street DFO after..
got my heels at a great price of just 20 bucks from ALDO. RRP:$129. =D
both the girls got what they wanted at Sheridan too. very good buys for quilt cover sets and stuff. FOs are the wayy to shopping!

Brunswick - got Des' bday present.
we were really tired alr.
decided to make the last stop in the city.

City - Mekong, Big W, JB Hifi and asian grocery. <--- Last stop of the day. by then we were all almost ready to crash anywhere. made our way back from then... been a great day. great deal of walking, great deal of catching up, great deal of shopping. resulted in ->> really sore legs, almost burnt pockets but a very satisfied us. =Pp

thank god for the good weather that the shopping trip was good.
great time spent with these girls. :)

sue'z delight + prayer rumble

sue'z delight dinner with the group the other night.
college reunion in a way too. after SOOO long.. the WHOLE group of us met tgt.
charkwayteow,laksa,meegoreng,tehtarik & DURIAN -reminiscent of home.
dinner was satisfying !
the place is so near us but none of us bothered to go try it at all.
well. i foresee more regular dinners there now though. :)

prayer rumble @ O'driscoll room last night.
had worship led by the team from HopeGeneration Church.
prayer atmosphere was awesome.
all for one cause. :))
helped out at kids in the 2nd hour.
didnt go too well.
jason got sent to the hospital after some rough play injury that happened.
thank god all's ok now.
he's up and about, doing good. :)

back to assignments again... ciao!

there we go again......
slow progress at it and ive got like 3 coming up just before the mid sem break.
hmmmm... dont really feel like doing them at all though i have to.=/
i absolutely hate it when im in the momentum of doing it but i cant seem to find relevant research.
its frustratingg.urghh.
nothing thaat interesting ever since the last update anyways..
the usual - school, home, church.
wait till the next.!

.tomoko's farewell cum bday.

did farewell dinner and celebrated tomoko's bday at andy's ytd.
was a successfull surprise :) caught her unawared
hainanese chicken rice, korean toboki(?), some yummy korean soup for dinner :)
sat around and we played drinking games after.
gosh. its these games that in the midst of it all it's fun. the aftereffects are not.=x
was pretty wasted ytd. a near repeat of the ZoukExperience w the girlies.
almost there. but managed to get myself home still pretty soberly-Ok.
knocked out immediately for 5 hrs and now im awake but super hungry.
haha.
church in 3 hrs. =Pp
anyhows. i reckon last night was still good.
great food. great company.
pity couldnt meet shar n des up though. missed the msg. so near yet so far.
haha. not like they are down in clayton every other day. =x

Toki jappy dinner at lygon on saturday night w the college ppl.
was a really good meetup after a long while.
reliving those college days where we saw each other in school almost everyday for long hours.
mugging when exams were near and all the assignment cramming knowing everyone was doing it tgt.
met shar babe aft talking for the longest time abt catching up.
missed her loads.!
met her randomly in sch now n then but its just always passing by kinda thing.
had a good time w them. :)

Happy National Day !!!

the celebration was a success !
the weather wasnt that accommodating but it definitely did not dampen spirits.
peeps started arriving at around 7pm.
some were early and the rest were pretty on time.
people started packing the place out.
well.at least the final no. was not as much as expected. thank god.
had about 30-40 peeps in the house.
the dinner spread was great.
hard work by Charity paid off.
we had games after dinner. a game of charade.
well.i didnt think i did a good job at it. but i sure hope the ppl had fun.
sheeshh. =X
anyhows. everything wrapped up at about 9+ for the ppl who wanted to stay and watch the parade.
though we kinda missed the contingent part but i loved the fireworks section nonetheless.
the fact that it was held at the marina waterfront this time round was a good change from the usual national stadium parade. =)
after watching the parade and feeling patriotic =P, we got down to cleaning up.
at least it wasnt too dirty, got it all done pretty fast.
everyone's tired after the whole day of preparation and stuff.
the group of us hung around after. as usual =P
with the huge load of food left after, our dinners and lunches for the next week is kinda settled.
haha. we had quite a bit of pictures taken. will post them up in my next.
have yet to get them from my friends. :)
all in all, i enjoyed myself heaps.!
meeting new ppl and being in the company of great friends =D
thank god the event ran smoothly and ppl enjoyed the mingling w each other too.
