internet connection is finally set up here.
ok. an update about how my past 2 weeks have been.
airport sendoff
im really thankful and glad to have such supportive friends and my wonderful family and relatives.
u guys made going away easier than i thought it to be.
thanks for being there. =)
arrival in melbourne
touched down at tullamarine airport early in the morning.
uncle pat came to pick us up to my apartment.
he's sucha nice uncle.
he got everything set up and bought a lot of stuff to furnish my apartment.
he's really sucha great help.
from renting my apartment for me to furnishing it to driving us around to get things done.
so yep. i was kinda zombified upon arrival since i didnt really sleep on board the plane.
the weekend was spent with him going for lunches and dinners and shopping for home appliances.
i needed a heater desperately.
the one in the apartment wasnt enough.
he also kinda oriented us to melb.
orientation
parents went with me for enrolment in the morning.
they left after awhile.
i went about the enrolment stuff on my own.
got my id card, internet account set up, went for some talks and made friends =)
the rest of the week was preddie much just info sessions and welcome lunch as well as addresses by the principal.
all went quite ok but it wasnt like orientation back home.
here we had much more leeway. =p
there are only a few caucasians in my cohort.
guess i will only see more of them in the Uni. haha
oh wellz. people are quite nice.i have to be really independent here.
everything's up to me and really a lot of freedom is permitted.
this 8 months is gonna be a whirlwind.
really. time passes exceptionally quick.
met auntie tanfen and her preddie daughter susannah for dinner on sunday night.
she's really model material and i couldnt tell she's only 15.
oh wellz. nice company and nice hosting at her place. =)
super sat was river cruise down yarra river.
was kinda boring but the after shopping was not bad. =)
school starts
my timetable's quite ok.
having some short days with only thurs having lessons from 9-5.30
all lectures on thurs.
man. its gonna be information overload.
tuts have started and all.
homework's starting to pile up already
gonna get back in study mode asap.hee
got to made more friends and stuff.
but there were alot of ppl who alr had friends and arent too friendly.
oh wellz.
anyhows. parents left on wed afternoon.
they had excess baggage.
all thanks to the wine and liquers they brought back.
its damn cheap here compared to spore.
the entry's long enough.
will update again soon.
go karting tmr i think.
