happy boxing day !

i just got back from malaysia early this morning.
reached singapore at exactly 1200 am.
marking the end of a christmas spent abroad.
i missed christmas back home alot.
the christmas atmosphere there is lacking a great deal.
sparse decorations. no music. early-ending parties and no countdown.
pathetic. tt's the word to describe it all.
but anyhows. the rest of the trip was not bad.
and yea. the main idea of the whole trip was to attend a relative's wedding.
hrm. tea ceremony on the 23rd was interesting.
and it definitely made the US-bred groom well on his toes the whole time.
he didnt exactly know what to do. he was blur half the time.
i kinda pity him. cuz its like his parents and him were left in a situation whereby they didnt exactly know what the customs meant and all but having to go thru them.
but im glad to say he survived thru it well.
probably also cuz of the help my uncles rendered.
they helped him with the many obstacles he had to go thru before entering the door to get his bride.
but worst of all. he had to taste the oh-so-wonderful taste of durian. =p
so anyhows. the other traditons went as usual.
aft lunch and all. we went to ikan0 for shopping before the dinner at night while the family carried on with preparations.
got back to renaissance hotel and got ready before heading to dinner.
the cab ride took ages.
the dinner at summer palace was not bad.
food was good.
and usual chinese wedding dinner proceedings went on.
it was quite fun =)

the next 2 days were more shopping.
managed to get quite a number of stuff.
but due to the lack of time and all. dint manage to get a lot of stuff of my shopping list.
hee. im still a happy girl nonetheless.
i am back and so grateful of life in singapore.
the cabs and streets there are filthy and the air is so polluted.
people there smoke alot too.
which makes it even worse.
its those lil things that make me so thankful for the high cleaniness standards in singapore :)
christmas is over and i hoped u guys enjoyed it! =)
